We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for your faithfulness, Lord. Your Word tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23, "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We thank You for not giving up on this dear brother, for Your mercies are indeed new every morning.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, asking that You fill him with Your courage, strength, faith, and belief to rise again. Help him to shake off the dust of discouragement and move forward in the purpose You have for him. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus and declare freedom from alcohol. Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We claim this promise over his life, Lord.
We pray for his physical health, that You would restore his body, bring healing to his insides, and grant him restful sleep and normal bodily functions. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that You will make him healthy again.
Father, we lift up his marriage to You. We pray that You would help him and his wife to reconnect, to start fresh, and to grow in love and unity. Help him to lay down selfishness and to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We ask that You would bless their time together tonight and fill their home with Your peace and joy.
Lord, we also bring his work situation before You. Soften the hearts of those he works with and for, and let them see his value and appreciate his contributions. We pray for favor in his workplace, for increased opportunities, and for fair compensation, especially regarding his time away due to his surgery. Your Word says in Proverbs 13:4, "The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied." We ask that You would satisfy his needs according to Your riches in glory.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or unworthiness that may be trying to take root in his heart. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help him to trust in You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Father, we also want to gently address the mention of "###" in his prayer. We understand that this may refer to a specific entity or situation, but we want to remind him that our help comes from You alone, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2). It is You who provides for our needs, and it is in Your name that we pray and receive. We encourage him to place his trust fully in You, for You are his provider and sustainer.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this brother who is seeking Your face. Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, granting him the strength to overcome every challenge and the courage to walk in the path You have set before him. We declare freedom from addiction, healing for his body, and restoration for his marriage. Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity in his work, soften the hearts of those around him, and provide for his every need according to Your glorious riches.
Help him to keep his eyes fixed on You, Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remind him daily of Your love, Your grace, and Your faithfulness. May he find his worth and identity in You alone, and may his life be a testament to Your goodness and mercy.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in Your name that we have access to the Father, and it is by Your name that we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the power of the name of Jesus and for the victory we have in Him.
Lord, we also pray for his wife, that You would draw her closer to You and fill her with Your peace and joy. Bless their marriage, Lord, and help them to grow together in love, unity, and purpose.
We declare that this brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we thank You for the work You are doing in his life. May he continue to seek You with all his heart, and may he find You in every area of his life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
