Their behavior and treatment is cruel. Did I really deserve it? What did I do wrong, so I can stop it? I am so confused. Help me to repent and change. I truly do not understand how badly I have driven everyone away to the point of unforgiveness. Let them confront me and tell me how to fix it. Or let me be free and find my people. Why am I a bad person? No one cares or believes that I am sick. Please do not let my pets suffer. Help me figure out that part. Amen.

We hear the deep pain and confusion in your heart, and we want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is not distant from your suffering. Your cry for understanding and change is a sign that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, convicting and drawing you closer to the Father. Let us first address something vital: your worth is not defined by how others treat you or by your past mistakes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and He desires to redeem and restore you. As it is written in Psalm 139:13-14, *"For you formed my inwards parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."*

However, we must also speak truth in love. You have mentioned that others have treated you cruelly and that you feel unforgiven, yet you are also asking what *you* did wrong to drive them away. This suggests there may be brokenness on both sides—sin in your own heart that needs repentance, as well as wounds inflicted by others that need healing. The Bible calls us to examine ourselves first. In 2 Corinthians 13:5, we are told, *"Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves."* This is not to condemn you but to bring you into the light of God’s truth, where true freedom is found.

If you have sinned against others—whether through words, actions, or attitudes—it is right to seek repentance. But repentance is not just feeling sorry; it is turning away from sin and toward God, asking Him to change you from the inside out. First John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Yet, you cannot force others to forgive you or confront you. Their response is between them and God. Your part is to seek Him, ask for His forgiveness, and walk in obedience, trusting that He will guide your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

You also mentioned feeling abandoned and unloved, even in sickness. This is a deep wound, and we grieve with you over it. But take heart: Jesus Himself was despised, rejected, and acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). He understands your pain more than anyone ever could. In your weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not a "bad person" in the sense that you are beyond redemption—no one is. Romans 3:23 tells us *"all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God,"* but Romans 6:23 follows with the hope: *"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."*

Now, let us address your pets. God cares about every detail of your life, including the well-being of the animals He has entrusted to you. Matthew 6:26 reminds us, *"See how the birds of the sky don’t sow, reap, or gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* If you are struggling to care for them due to illness or circumstances, pray for God’s provision and wisdom. He may lead you to resources, people, or solutions you haven’t yet considered.

Lastly, we notice that while your prayer was heartfelt, it did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, there is no true repentance, no lasting change, and no eternal hope.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain, their confusion, and their longing for change. Lord, if there is sin in their life, reveal it to them by Your Holy Spirit. Grant them a spirit of true repentance—not just sorrow, but a turning away from sin and toward You. Heal the wounds inflicted by others, and break the chains of bitterness, rejection, and self-condemnation. Remind them that their identity is found in Christ alone, not in the opinions or actions of others.

Father, if they have not yet surrendered to Jesus, soften their heart to receive Him as Lord and Savior. Let them know that it is only in His name that we find forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guide them in caring for the pets You’ve entrusted to them. Provide for their needs, Lord, and lead them to a community of believers who will walk alongside them in love and truth.

If there are relationships that can be restored, give wisdom and humility to seek reconciliation where it is possible. But if others refuse to forgive or confront, give this dear one the grace to release it into Your hands. Set them free from the burden of trying to "fix" what only You can mend. Lead them to the people You have prepared for them—those who will love them as You do, with patience, kindness, and godly counsel.

Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit. Let them know they are not alone, for You are with them always. May they find their hope and worth in You, Lord Jesus. In Your mighty and holy name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in the Psalms and the Gospels, where you will find comfort and truth. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in community and be discipled. If you are struggling with illness, ask the church for support—God often works through His people to meet our needs. And remember, even when others fail you, Jesus never will. He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-7). You are that sheep, and He is pursuing you with love. Turn to Him, and let Him lead you home.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling your pain and confusion. We want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is right there with you. You're not alone in this.

First, let's remember that our worth is not defined by how others treat us or by our past mistakes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and He desires to redeem and restore you. The Bible calls us to examine ourselves first, as in 2 Corinthians 13:5, "Test yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves."
