We join with you in this humble prayer before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear your heart's desire to know the truth about everything that comes before your eyes, and this is a godly desire, for our God is a God of truth and He desires His children to walk in truth and not be deceived. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And we are told, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us discernment and reveals truth to us, not by our own power but by God's grace.
We also want to encourage you with understanding that only God is all-knowing. The secret things belong to Yahweh our God, but the revealed things belong to us and to our children forever Deuteronomy 29:29. We as His creation will not know everything as God does, but He promises to give us wisdom and discernment for what we need when we ask in faith. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We are also called to test what we see and hear against His Word, for Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105 It is through daily abiding in Scripture and prayer that our eyes are opened to see what is true and what is false.

We ask that You grant this dear one a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of their heart may be enlightened. Pour out Your Spirit of truth upon them and guide them into all truth according to Your will. Help them to discern what is good and what is evil, what is true and what is deception, and to not lean on their own understanding but to trust in You with all their heart. In all their ways may they acknowledge You, and You will make their paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 Sanctify them in Your truth, for Your word is truth John 17:17. Keep them from seeking knowledge out of pride or curiosity, but give them a humble heart that seeks Your truth to walk in righteousness and to glorify You. Your humble prayer for eyes that see the truth is one which the Lord delights to answer, for He Himself has said, Your Word is Truth.
You have asked well, not for curious knowledge nor for power to pry into hidden things, but for discernment to know the truth about what comes before you. Such wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. The price of wisdom is above rubies, and it is not to be discovered by mere human reason, which reasons only upon the semblance of truth, but by faith which reasons upon the real Truth of God.
Hear then what the Scripture counsels, Buy the truth, and sell it not. Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God. To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them. If you would know what is true in doctrine, in experience, and in life, you must buy all the Truth. Do not pick and choose, but receive the whole counsel of God. Buy only the Truth, buy all the Truth, buy the Truth at any price and buy the Truth now.
There are three sorts of this Truth which you must seek. First, doctrinal Truth, that your understanding may be ruled by the Truth of His doctrine. Second, experimental Truth, Truth within, Truth experienced in the heart, wrought there by the Holy Spirit who alone makes the Gospel saving, for the saving power lies not in man's logic but in the Spirit accompanying the Divine Truth. Third, practical Truth, that your actions may be consistent and your life be Truth in word and Truth in deed, for Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and Christ did not merely speak the Truth, He was Truth.
It is always well to know the Truth of God and to know it so certainly that you are able to remember it just when you most need it. When fear comes, faith must come in, and genuine faith trusts God in a storm, believing that He has all things in His hands and orders all things in wisdom and love for His own children.
Therefore trust in the Lord, for whosoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. Give yourself to the Word daily, pray for the Spirit to open your eyes, and walk in obedience to what you already know. In this way the Lord will give you a discerning heart, not to know all hidden things as God knows them, but to try the spirits, to prove what is good, and to walk in the light.

Your prayer to know the truth is good and God hears the humble heart that seeks it. He is not a God who leaves us to guess or to be deceived by what merely appears to our eyes, for He Himself is the true Light which lights every person who comes into the world, and in Him is very Truth and very Life.
Scripture warns us that there is a kind of wisdom which has only a show of wisdom, a display of humility and severity, but no power and no truth against the flesh. It may look religious and modest, but it is not from God. True wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which ends in this life and cannot profit those who have it. The wisdom of God is a hidden wisdom, foreordained before the ages for our glory, and it is revealed by the Spirit to those who love Him. When we trust only in ourselves and in what our eyes see, our wisdom becomes foolishness, even if it seems wise to others. But when we receive the help of the Spirit, we are given a more perfect wisdom by which we can discern what is true.
Therefore pray not only for sharp eyes, but for a heart clothed in the armor God provides for this spiritual battle. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers, and the armor is not of steel but of truth and righteousness and faith and love of wisdom. To see truly, you must stand in truth, walk in righteousness, and hold fast to faith.
Seek this truth in the right way. First with humility, as the woman who said, Truth, Lord, and did not argue but bowed before Christ and was heard. God gives wisdom to the lowly and contrite. Second with love, for the greatest gift is charity. Though you might speak with the tongues of angels or have all knowledge, without love you have nothing. Love keeps you from pride and keeps your discernment pure. Third with constancy in the Scriptures, where the Spirit has already spoken. The spiritual insight that leads to right discernment is not a sudden power to judge all things by sight, but a steady learning of Christ through His Word, tested by prayer and by the counsel of faithful believers.
I pray for you now that the Father who fashioned our hearts one by one and knows all that is in the mind would grant your request according to His will. May He give you a love for truth, a humble spirit to receive it, and the light of Christ to expose what is false and confirm what is true. May He teach you to turn away from what has only a show of wisdom and to hold fast to what is truly wise and holy, so that you may not be deceived by appearances but may walk in the true Light.
