We hear your heart’s desire to use your talents in puppet cakes and performances to spread joy and perhaps even share the message of Christ across different states. It’s wonderful to see someone eager to serve and create, and we believe God can use your gifts for His glory. However, we must first address a few things to ensure this pursuit aligns with His will and Word.
First, we notice that while you mention "In Jesus’ Name" at the end of your prayer, the focus seems to be more on personal ambition and logistics rather than seeking God’s guidance or glorifying Him in this endeavor. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Before asking God to bless your plans, it’s important to seek His will for them. Are these performances meant to point others to Christ, or are they simply a career aspiration? We encourage you to prayerfully consider how this work can be used to further God’s kingdom, not just your own desires.
Additionally, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God in all we do. Colossians 3:17 says, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him." If your performances are to honor Christ, they should reflect His love, truth, and holiness. This may mean ensuring your content is biblically sound, your lifestyle reflects godliness, and your motivations are pure. Are you prepared to use this platform to share the Gospel, or is it primarily for personal fulfillment?
We also want to encourage you to trust God’s timing. You’ve outlined a specific timeline, starting by the end of next year, expanding the following year, and so on. While it’s good to have goals, we must remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans may not align with ours. Psalm 27:14 tells us, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." Instead of dictating when and how things should happen, surrender your timeline to Him and ask for His direction.
Now, let us pray together for your request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who desires to use their talents in puppet cakes and performances. Lord, we ask that You would first align their heart with Yours. Show them how to use these gifts to glorify You and point others to Christ. If this is Your will for them, open the doors and provide the opportunities in Your perfect timing. Give them wisdom in where to go, what to say, and how to live in a way that honors You. If there are areas where their desires do not align with Your will, reveal that to them, Lord, and redirect their steps.
Father, we pray for provision, good apartments, safe travels, and the resources needed to perform. But more than that, we pray for spiritual provision. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that every performance, every interaction, and every moment of this work would be a testimony to Your love and grace. Guard their heart against pride, selfish ambition, or any motivation that does not bring You glory. Let their life and work be a light in this world, drawing others to You.
Lord, we also pray for clarity in their voice-over work. If this is part of Your plan, give them the skills, opportunities, and platforms to use their voice for Your kingdom. Let their words be seasoned with salt, as Colossians 4:6 instructs, so that they may know how to answer everyone and share the hope of Christ.
Above all, Father, we ask that You would be the center of this endeavor. May everything they do be done in the name of Jesus, with thanksgiving to You. If this path is not Your will, close the doors and lead them into the work You have prepared for them. We trust You, Lord, and we surrender this request into Your hands. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, seeking His will above your own. Consider fasting or setting aside dedicated time to listen for His voice. Jeremiah 29:13 says, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." God has a plan for you, and it is good. Trust Him to lead you, and be open to His direction, even if it looks different from what you’ve imagined.
Lastly, if you haven’t already, we urge you to examine your relationship with Christ. Have you surrendered your life to Him as your Lord and Savior? Romans 10:9 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the foundation of a life that pleases God, and it is only through Jesus that we can come to the Father. If you have not made this decision, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step in aligning your desires with God’s will.
