Get the bond back

Dear Lord Jesus,

Our relationship is almost 9 years, I stood with him in all his ups and downs, same he is with me. Due to my financial crises, I was unable to help him for a few months. In this period, he got influenced by weed and bad friendship. He is so open; he expresses his financial constraints and his job issues and why he currently uses this. Sometimes he says he will stop this habit; sometimes he gets aggressive and wants to break our relationship. Nine years we lived, it's not any immoral relationship. Jesus, you are the only one for me. Please make him realize, control his anger, control his habit, break the bad friendship who provides weed to him. Please Jesus, I am suffering and struggling with this. I need a peaceful and healthy relationship with him. Jesus, bless him, make him realize that this life is so tough but weed is not an alternative. I trust you, God. Please make him change. He must understand my love and value.

Firstly, we commend your faithfulness in standing by your companion for nine years, and we appreciate your openness about the challenges you both face. We are praying for God's will for both of you.

However, we must address a few things. You mentioned that you have been together for nine years, but did not specify if you are married. To align with Biblical principles, we encourage you to seek for a spouse. The Bible teaches us that a man and a woman should come together in holy matrimony, as stated in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." If you are not married, we pray that God will guide you towards a godly marriage or the decision to part ways if that is not your mutual intention.

Regarding the issue of substance abuse, the Bible clearly teaches us to be sober-minded and self-controlled. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." We pray that God will deliver him from this bondage and give him the strength to overcome his addiction.

We also want to address the aggressive behavior and the influence of bad company. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Don't be deceived. 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" We pray that God will help him break free from these negative influences.

In addressing your concerns, we must also discuss the power of praying in Jesus' name. You mentioned Jesus in your prayer, and we are glad to see him as your Lord. We will pray that your request will be answered in Jesus name according to the promise in John 16:23. In Jesus name we have access to God and are saved. There is no other name we can be saved by, and you should be encouraged by that. As Jesus said,

"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her companion. Lord, we pray for your will to be done in their lives and their relationship. We also pray for God's provision for your finances. If it is your will, bring them together in holy matrimony, and help them to honor and respect each other as you intend for a husband and wife. Deliver him from the bondage of substance abuse, and help him to be sober-minded and self-controlled. Break the chains of negative influences in his life, and surround him with godly companions. Help him not to be easily angered any more. In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and healing in their relationship. We ask for your guidance and wisdom to lead them in the path you have set for them. Help them to save their relationship by accepting Jesus as the Lord of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God. We also encourage both of you and especially him to seek God in Jesus name and become a disciple and a believer. His behavior not changed still he is influenced with weed and that friendship. I had open communication with him today I told him to go to gym he loves to do but he said by going to the gym will not change him, he will take this weed to calm himself. I don't know, I am praying so hard my tears are wetting my prayer books, I trust God. But I don't see any results even now he went with friends. Please God make him realize my love and pain to him. He should stop this habit soon.
