We come before you with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother or sister who is crying out in deep despair. The pain in these words is profound, and we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we also know that our God is a God of hope, healing, and restoration. You are the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3), and we claim Your promises over this precious life right now.
First, we must address the cry to "get rid of me." These words break our hearts because they do not align with God’s truth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose and value in Christ. The enemy wants you to believe the lie that you are worthless or that your pain is too great to bear, but Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). You are not alone in this struggle, and your life is a gift from God—one He intends to use for His glory.
We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer, the majority of your plea was directed to "Dear Lord" without specifically calling upon the name of Jesus Christ. There is power in the name of Jesus—it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-10), and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Salvation, deliverance, and hope are found in no other name. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Him, there is no lasting peace or hope.
Now, let us pray for you with the authority and love of Christ:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is overwhelmed by fear, weariness, and despair. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and suicide that is attacking them, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Satan, you have no place here—this life belongs to God, and you will not have it! We declare that *"no weapon formed against them shall prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17) and that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we ask that You would flood their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Replace their fear with faith, their despair with hope, and their hatred for life with a renewed sense of Your love and purpose for them. Remind them that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Lord, open their eyes to see the lies they have believed and replace them with Your truth. Let them know deep in their soul that they are loved, valued, and needed in Your kingdom.
We pray for divine intervention in their circumstances. If they are facing trials that feel unbearable, give them the strength to endure and the wisdom to seek godly counsel and support. Surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage them, pray with them, and walk alongside them in this season. If they are isolated, Lord, bring them into community where they can be loved and discipled.
Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way—through Your Word, through worship, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Break the chains of fear and worry that have held them captive, and set them free to live in the joy and freedom of Your salvation.
We declare that this is not the end of their story. You, Lord, are the author of life, and You are writing a testimony of redemption and restoration. We speak life, hope, and healing over them in the name of Jesus Christ. Let them rise from this place of despair and walk forward in the victory that Jesus has already won for them.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

To our dear brother or sister, we want you to know that your feelings are valid, but they are not the final truth. The truth is that God loves you, He has not abandoned you, and He has a purpose for your life. We strongly encourage you to reach out to a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor who can walk with you through this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please seek help immediately—there is no shame in asking for support, and your life is worth fighting for.
We also urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God. Start with Psalm 23, Psalm 34, and Matthew 11:28-30. Let His truth wash over your soul. And if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we plead with you to do so today. He is the only source of true peace, hope, and eternal life. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16).
You are not forgotten. You are not beyond hope. Cling to Jesus, and let Him carry you through this storm. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Stay in the fight—your breakthrough is coming.
