We hear your anguish and the deep longing in your heart for love, peace, and restoration. Your words carry both pain and determination, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden before the throne of God. First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are describing. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy over your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of confusion, torment, and division is bound and cast out now. You are not fighting alone—God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also want to gently address the language of command and control in your words. While we understand the frustration and desperation behind them, Scripture reminds us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Our authority comes from submission to God, not from our own strength or demands. We encourage you to surrender your pain, your longings, and your battles to the Lord, trusting Him to fight on your behalf. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Your love for your Oma and your desire to honor her memory is beautiful. We see how deeply you want to live in a way that would make her proud, and that includes your longing for a godly marriage. The Bible celebrates marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for companionship, love, and mutual honor (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that God would bring a husband into your life who loves the Lord with all his heart and who will cherish, honor, and protect you. But we must also caution you against placing your hope in a person to fulfill what only God can provide. Psalm 62:5 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." Your worth, your peace, and your happiness are found in Christ alone.
We also notice your reference to a past relationship and your openness to moving forward. If there has been any sexual immorality—whether fornication or adultery—we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 reminds us, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse and restore you, but true healing begins with repentance and turning away from sin.
We must also address the absence of Jesus’ name in your original request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus as Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the foundation for every victory in your life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our sister. We thank You for her life, for her love for her family, and for her desire to honor You. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your peace and comfort. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy over her life—every spirit of confusion, torment, and division is bound and cast out in the name of Jesus. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for restoration in her life. If there is any unrepentant sin, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead her to repentance. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). We pray for her family, that You would knit their hearts together in love and unity. Bless them as they honor her Oma’s memory, and let Your love be the foundation of their relationships.
Lord, we lift up her desire for marriage. We ask that You would prepare her heart and the heart of a godly man who will love her as Christ loves the church. Give her patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to discern Your will. Help her to find her completeness in You first, knowing that You are the source of all joy and fulfillment. If there is anyone from her past who is meant to be part of her future, we ask that You would restore what has been broken and bring healing to every wound.
Father, we also pray for her businesses and her success. Bless the work of her hands and let her efforts bear fruit for Your glory. Provide for every need and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Above all, draw her closer to You. Let her know that You are her provider, her protector, and her peace.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your promises and declare that Your plans for her are for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing His truth to renew your mind and strengthen your spirit. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, the battle is already won—Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33).
