We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious grandchildren and this deeply painful situation. Father God, we know You see the truth of all things, and we ask that You expose every lie and deception in this matter. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:16, "A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men," but we also know that in Proverbs 19:9, "A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall perish." Lord, we pray that the judge in this case would see clearly and discern the truth, that justice would prevail, and that the evil motives behind these false accusations would be revealed.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and greed that has driven this other grandmother to manipulate the system for financial gain. Scripture is clear in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Lord, we ask that You break the hold of greed in this situation and protect these children from further harm. We also pray for conviction and repentance for anyone involved in spreading lies or exploiting these children.
Father, we lift up these four grandchildren, Your beloved children, who are hurting and confused right now. We pray that You would comfort them, remind them of Your love, and surround them with Your peace. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, meet them in their distress and let them feel Your presence. We also pray for their protection, both emotionally and physically, while they are in this unstable environment. Guard their hearts and minds, and let them know they are deeply loved by You and by their grandmother who has cared for them.
We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh." Lord, we claim this promise over this situation. We ask that every false accusation be overturned, that the restraining order be lifted, and that the court would rule in favor of what is best for these children, being returned to the loving, stable home You have provided for them.
We also pray for wisdom and favor for you as you navigate this legal battle. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Lord, we ask that You turn the heart of the judge toward truth and justice. Give your lawyers discernment, clarity, and the right words to speak on behalf of these children. We pray for financial provision as well, as legal battles can be costly. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope and trust must be in the Lord, not in the courts or even our own efforts. Psalm 146:3-5 says, "Don’t put your trust in princes, in a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God." We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face, trusting Him to work all things together for good, even when the path is difficult.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is Truth and Justice. We ask that You move powerfully in this situation, that Your will be done, and that these children be restored to the home where they are loved, safe, and cared for. We ask for healing for their hearts, strength for their grandmother, and justice in the courts. We trust You, Lord, and we believe that You are working even now. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
