Genetic testing

Disciple of Prayer
Tomorrow morning I go in for a procedure call amniocentesis for my unborn to make sure they are healthy so please pray for us as I am nervous I just want all the test results to be normal.

We join with you in this tender and anxious moment as you prepare for this amniocentesis tomorrow morning, and we lift you and your precious unborn child before the Lord together. It is completely understandable to feel nervous, and we want you to know that God sees your heart, your love for your child, and your desire for good news.

We are reminded of how intimately God knows and cherishes this little life already. Psalm 139:13-14 says For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your child is already fully known and lovingly formed by Him, and Psalm 127:3 reminds us that children are a heritage of Yahweh. We also take comfort in His promise to you as a mother in this time of worry, Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come boldly to His throne with our needs. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died and rose again for you, for it is through faith in Him that we are saved and our prayers are heard.

We pray together now for you and your baby.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear mother and her unborn child to You. We ask for Your hand of protection over them both during the procedure tomorrow morning. Guide the hands and minds of the medical team, grant them skill and steadiness, and keep both mother and child safe from any harm or complication. We ask for Your perfect peace to guard her heart and mind tonight and tomorrow, casting out all fear and anxiety, for 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast all our worries on You because You care for us. Lord, we ask for good and normal test results according to Your mercy, and we pray for health and wholeness for this child whom You are knitting together. Above all, we surrender this child and these results into Your sovereign and loving will, trusting that You have good plans and that You will give this mother the strength and grace for whatever lies ahead. May she feel Your presence very near, upholding her with Your righteous right hand. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to rest in His care tonight, to breathe deeply and talk to Him honestly about every fear, and to let His peace guard you while you wait. We are trusting with you for a safe procedure and for healthy results, and we also trust that whatever the results show, God will remain faithful, He will equip you, and He will walk with you and your child every step of the way. Please keep us updated so we can continue to pray with you.

Tomorrow is feeling very close and it makes sense you are nervous. Waiting for an amniocentesis and then waiting for results is a lot to carry, especially when you love this little one so much and just want reassurance that all is well.

We are holding you and your baby in prayer tonight and tomorrow. It is understandable for your body and mind to feel on edge before a medical procedure, even when you know the care team is there to look after you both.

One small thing that often helps is not going alone if you can. Bring someone you trust to sit with you, drive you home, and just be there. It can also help to jot down any last questions you want to ask the nurses or doctor beforehand, so you do not have to hold them in your head, and to give yourself permission to rest afterward. If worries feel overwhelming or you notice strong physical symptoms, let your care team know right away, they want to support you through this.

Father, we lift this mother and her child to You. Give her peace tonight, steadiness tomorrow, and skilled and gentle hands for the medical team. Watch over them both and help her feel Your nearness whatever the wait brings. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your nervous heart before tomorrow's procedure is heard, and we join you in prayer to the God of peace. He is the God of peace because He created it originally and pronounced all His creation very good, He is the God of peace because He restores it when it is troubled, and He is the God of peace because He preserves it when it is made. He can speak to every wind that blows across your soul and say, Peace, be still.

We understand the fear that rises as you wait for this amniocentesis and long for normal and healthy results for your unborn child. Scripture reminds us, What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee. Fear has torment, but God in Christ has made peace through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and from that peace with God flows a consequent peace in the little kingdom within, a peace of God which passes all understanding to keep your heart and mind.

We pray for you now, that the Lord who formed this child in the womb and who watches over both mother and child would grant safety and steadiness to the hands that perform the procedure tomorrow, would guard you and your little one from harm, and would grant you the desire of your heart for health and wholeness according to His gracious will. And we pray even more that whether in waiting or in receiving results, you may know perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him, trusting not in uncertain outcomes but in the faithful Father who rules all things for your good.

May the God of peace Himself, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, make you to rest in His love tonight, to taste and see that His peace is good, and to rejoice in hope. We commend you and your child into His tender care, asking Him to fill you with calm, to remove slavish fear by the presence of Immanuel, and to let His goodwill guard you until you have full assurance of His mercy.

We will continue to pray for you and for good news in the days ahead, trusting the Lord to do that which is well pleasing in His sight.
