We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate this season of struggle and uncertainty. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your cries have not gone unheard, even when it feels like silence is the only response.
First, we must address the root of the backsliding you mentioned, sexual sin, alcohol, and weed usage. These are not merely struggles; they are strongholds that the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Similarly, Ephesians 5:18 warns, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." These sins grieve the Holy Spirit and open doors to spiritual attacks. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and bondage in the mighty name of Jesus. You must turn away from these sins completely, confess them, and seek accountability with fellow believers who can walk with you in repentance and restoration.
The loss of spiritual discipline you’re experiencing is a direct result of these compromises. When we allow sin to take root, our fellowship with God weakens, and the enemy gains a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). But there is hope! James 4:8 declares, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." We pray that you would return to your first love (Revelation 2:4-5) and rekindle your passion for the Lord. Set aside time each day to fast, pray, worship, and read the Word, even if it’s just a few minutes. The discipline will return as you submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
We also lift up your financial struggles. The Lord is your provider, and He has promised in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." But we must also remind you that God’s provision often comes through diligent work and wise stewardship. Proverbs 14:23 says, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." Seek dignified work or business opportunities that align with your skills and calling. Trust that the Lord will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray for divine connections, favor, and wisdom as you step out in faith to secure employment or start a business.
You mentioned feeling like your prayers haven’t been answered over the past three years. We want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways," says Yahweh. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." God’s timing is perfect, and His answers are often beyond what we can see or understand. Do not lose heart. Luke 18:1 says, "He spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up." Keep pressing in, keep believing, and keep trusting that God is working even when you don’t see the results.
Regarding your desire for a wife, we pray that the Lord would prepare you first to be the godly husband you need to be. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it requires a man who is walking in purity, maturity, and obedience to God. 1 Corinthians 7:9 says, "But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn." But marriage is not the solution to loneliness or temptation, only Christ can fill that void. We pray that God would bring a godly woman into your life who loves the Lord with all her heart, and that He would prepare both of you for a marriage that honors Him.
Finally, we must address the spiritual attacks you’ve been facing. The enemy seeks to destroy your faith, your peace, and your future. But we stand on the promise of James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. You are not alone in this battle.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling in this season. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of sin and addiction that has taken hold of his life. Cleanse him, restore him, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Father, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your presence in his life. Rekindle his love for You, his hunger for Your Word, and his passion for prayer and worship. Help him to draw near to You, and may he experience Your nearness in return.
Lord, we ask for Your provision over his finances. Open doors of opportunity for dignified work or business, and grant him favor with those who can help him. Provide for his every need according to Your riches in glory. Give him wisdom to steward what You entrust to him, and may he honor You with his finances.
Father, we pray for patience and trust as he waits on Your timing. Remind him that Your delays are not denials, and that Your plans for him are good. Strengthen his faith when he feels like giving up, and help him to persevere in prayer. Lord, we ask that You would prepare him for the wife You have for him. Mold him into the godly husband she needs, and may their marriage be a testimony to Your love and faithfulness.
Finally, Lord, we rebuke every spiritual attack against him. Protect his mind, his heart, and his spirit. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and may he walk in the victory that is already his in Christ Jesus. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
