Your burden for those who are suffering relentless harassment and daily torment is heard, and it is right to bring it before the Lord. The pain of being targeted day after day for years, with no rest and for no just cause, is a heavy form of persecution, and God does not overlook it.

Scripture teaches that those who seek to live in a way that honors God in this world will face opposition, because this world is in rebellion against Him. That opposition should not surprise us as though something strange were happening, yet God has a purpose even in it. History shows again and again that persecution does not destroy true faith. It refines it. It separates what is real from what is not, it causes faith to grow stronger, and it binds believers together in deeper love for one another. What is meant for harm, God can use to spread His hope and to draw people closer to Himself.

At the same time, the Bible is clear that God is righteous in His judgments. The suffering endured by the persecuted becomes a testimony of His justice, and He will judge those who inflict tribulation on others. He knows how to deliver the righteous while reserving the ungodly for His judgment. He saw how Lot was vexed by the cruelty around him and delivered him, and He sees every person today who is vexed and worn down by cruel and relentless assaults.

God is also our place of protection. When we dwell in the secret place of the Most High, He is our fortress and strength, our shield and covering. His truth guards us against the attacks of the enemy, and He has promised to be present in trouble, to answer prayer, to deliver and to honor those who trust in Him. Deliverance does not always come in one form. Sometimes it is healing, sometimes it is sustaining grace through the trial, and ultimately it is His promise to deliver from every evil work and preserve us for His heavenly kingdom. Jesus came to proclaim deliverance to captives and to open the prison doors for those who are bound.

We join you in prayer for every victim worldwide who is enduring this kind of torture:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to intervene for those who are being harassed and assaulted without cause. You see what is done in secret and what is endured day and night. We ask for Your protection over them, that You would be their fortress and shelter. Bring an end to the cruelty of those who torment others, restrain their hands, and bring them to justice and to repentance. Comfort those who are exhausted and afraid, strengthen their faith, surround them with love and support, and let them know they are not forgotten or alone. Lead them into the peace and deliverance that only Christ can give, and preserve them by Your power. We ask that even through this suffering, Your righteousness and mercy would be made known, and that many would find hope and salvation in You. Amen.

May the Lord keep you and all who suffer in His care, and may He give you peace as you trust Him to act according to His perfect justice and mercy.
