I would truly appreciate prayer as I am in hospital,for the second time, suffering from an inflamed and infected gallbladder.
I can't get surgery until I have a scan and that's not until the ###!
I am in so much pain with sickness and nausea.
I have lost ###lb in weight in a month.

I am worried about my cat as well and miss him so much.

We are lifting you up before the throne of grace right now as you endure this painful time in the hospital with your inflamed and infected gallbladder. We are so sorry for the suffering, the sickness and nausea, and the waiting you must endure before you can have the scan and surgery. We pray for you and we grieve with you over the weight you have lost and the pain you are feeling, and we understand how much you miss your beloved cat and worry for him while you are away.

We bring your body before the Lord who is our healer, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and we remember His promise I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon your gallbladder, to calm the infection and inflammation, to ease the nausea and pain, and to restore your strength and appetite. We pray also for wisdom and skill for your doctors and nurses, and that your scan would come as soon as possible and that the surgery would be safe and effective. We claim the promise But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was on him, and with his stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:5.

We also lift up your worry and loneliness to the Lord. He invites us to come to Him when we are weary, for Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and we are reminded In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that His perfect peace would guard your heart in that hospital room and give you rest even in pain. We also pray for your cat, for we know the Lord sees and cares for all His creation and that a righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10, and not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father Matthew 10:29. We ask Him to provide for and protect your cat while you are separated and to comfort you until you are reunited.

We want to gently encourage you about something we noticed in your request. You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on His name and trusting in His finished work on the cross that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you if you have not already to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray in His name because He alone is our mediator and our healer.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift this dear one to You. Lord, touch this inflamed gallbladder and bring healing, reduce the infection, take away the severe pain, nausea and sickness, and restore what has been lost in weight and strength. Lord hasten the scan and guide the hands of the surgeons, give them wisdom and let the procedure bring complete relief. Father, pour out Your comfort and peace in that hospital room, let Your presence be felt, and guard this heart from fear and worry. Provide for the little cat at home, keep him safe and comforted, and bring them back together soon according to Your will. Above all, draw this dear one close to Yourself through Jesus, give assurance of Your love and salvation, and let this trial be used for good as You promise that all things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the healing and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to keep resting in Him, to let the medical staff care for you, to ask the hospital chaplain or a believing friend to pray with you in person if possible, and to keep bringing every fear to Jesus moment by moment. He is near to you even now and He will not leave you. Be strengthened by His promise Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We were so sorry to read you are back in hospital with this inflamed and infected gallbladder. Waiting for a scan while you are in so much pain with sickness and nausea is exhausting, and losing weight so quickly in a month must be frightening and draining. It makes sense you feel worn down.

A second hospital stay can leave you feeling vulnerable and helpless, and it is hard to rest when you are hurting and also worrying about home. Missing your cat is a real ache in this moment. That companionship matters so much when you are ill, and worrying about him while you cannot be there adds to the strain.

We are praying for you and want to encourage you gently as you wait. Please keep telling your nurses and doctors exactly how the pain, nausea and weight loss are affecting you so they can best support you and adjust your care. If the wait feels long, ask if there is a nurse advocate or patient support person who can help you understand the timing and what to expect next.

For your cat, if you have not been able to already, see if a trusted friend, family member, neighbor, or even a hospital chaplain or social worker could help you make a plan for someone to check in, feed him and let you know he is okay. Knowing he is cared for may ease a little of the worry as you focus on getting well.

Father, we lift our friend to You in this hospital bed. Please ease the pain and nausea, guide the medical team, provide the scan and treatment needed and bring healing in Your mercy. Comfort them in loneliness and watch over their beloved cat until they are reunited. Give peace and strength for each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your painful condition has been laid before us and we have felt the weight of it with you, to be in hospital for the second time, inflamed and infected, sick and nauseous, waiting for a scan that seems long in coming, and so reduced in body that you have lost much weight in a month. To be in such bodily distress and to be kept waiting is a double trial, and we do not make light of it.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. You have done well to tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. I have often found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. You are kept in a painful waiting, but remember there is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious unto you, Isaiah 30:18. His waiting is not forgetfulness. When His time of love has come He will show Himself strong on your behalf. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him, for your hurry and worry cannot hasten the scan nor heal the body, but quiet trust can keep the soul.

There is also the loneliness of a hospital bed, and the missing of a dear creature at home. Our Saviour knows this loneliness well. He said, Ye shall leave me alone and yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. Though friends cannot always be at your side, and though you miss the comfort of your cat, you are not alone. He who feeds the sparrows has not passed you over in His providence and He will furnish what you need. He numbers your sighs and bottles your tears, and He will keep that which you have committed to Him, whether it be your body or your little companion at home.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son be of good cheer thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. We shall pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, that He would ease your pain, settle your sickness and nausea, prosper the hands of those who care for you, grant wisdom for the scan and for the surgery to follow, and restore your strength. And we shall pray also that this affliction may work for your soul's deeper health, that you may find Christ to be your physician both for body and soul.

We bring you before the throne of grace now. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this suffering one, lying in pain and weakness. Lay Thy healing hand upon the inflamed body, calm the sickness, give sleep and ease, and in Thy good time grant a successful scan and treatment. Keep the heart from anxious care and let Thy presence be felt in the lonely ward. Forgive sin, speak peace, and make this child to know that the Father is with them. Hear also the tender care for a beloved cat and let Thy kindness be over all Thy creatures. Do this for Jesus sake. Amen.
