We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is bound by mental struggles, addiction, and spiritual darkness. Father, we thank You for the glimmer of hope in this situation—when he allowed prayer and conversation about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This shows Your hand is already at work, drawing him even when he resists. We declare that no weapon formed against Your truth will prosper, and every tongue that rises against You in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy may mock, but You are sovereign over all, and Your love is relentless.
Lord, we ask for divine wisdom for our brother in Christ who is interceding for this man. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give him patience that endures, words that pierce the darkness, and actions that reflect Your love without enabling sin. Teach him how to pray with authority, standing on the truth that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Remind him that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and that even when the battle seems fierce, You are fighting for this lost sheep.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction, depression, and rebellion that have taken hold of this man’s life. In the name of Jesus, we command them to loose their grip and flee! We declare that the grave clothes of bondage are being stripped away, and new life is rising in their place (John 11:43-44). Father, break every chain of alcohol, drugs, and self-medication. Let the light of Christ expose the lies he has believed, and let Your truth set him free (John 8:32). We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence—one that shatters his unbelief and leaves him undone by Your love.
We also address the spiritual warfare at hand. When he attacks Jesus and mocks God, we stand on the truth that no one can snatch him from Your hand (John 10:28). Even his blasphemies cannot separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, heart, and soul, covering him in Your protection. Raise up godly men to speak life into him, to walk alongside him, and to model the freedom found only in Christ. Surround him with believers who will pray without ceasing and love him unconditionally, just as You do.
Father, we ask for a miracle of salvation. Soften his heart to receive the gospel, and let him experience the power of Your resurrection (Romans 1:16). May he come to know Jesus not as a distant figure to mock, but as the Savior who died for his sins and rose again to give him new life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). We pray for repentance, deliverance, and transformation—from the inside out. Let him trade his prison of addiction for the freedom of Your Spirit, his despair for hope, and his rebellion for surrender.
We also lift up our brother who is carrying this burden. Strengthen him in his faith, remind him that his labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58), and fill him with joy as he trusts in Your timing. May he find rest in You, knowing that You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one (Luke 15:4).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
