We have heard your request about the storm damage to your roof and siding and we have brought it before the Lord with you.
It is right to ask God for help in these practical needs. He is not distant from the concerns of our homes. As we are taught, Christ Himself did not disdain to enter the simple huts of fishermen, to show His care for humble dwellings and to teach us to set aside pride. He knows what it is to need shelter and He knows the anxiety you feel after the inspector has come, fearing the cost will fall beyond what you can bear.
We pray that God will provide for what is necessary and guide what is decided. We ask Him to move the insurance company to act justly and generously, to grant what is needed for a proper repair, and to protect you from being burdened beyond your deductible. We ask Him to lead you to honest and skilled workers who will do the work correctly and with integrity, and to give you wisdom and peace as you make decisions.
Remember that He who lays the foundation also puts on the roof, and He is able to complete what concerns you. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and seek first His kingdom, trusting that He will supply what you need for health and for daily life. We also pray that this trial will draw you closer to Christ, in whom alone is our salvation and our sure hope.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to provide for this need, to grant favor and fairness in this process, to supply trustworthy hands for the repair, and to guard this household with Your peace. Amen.
