Funds for roof and siding repaired

Prayer Team, Please pray the insurance company give enough for the repairs and to pay someone to repair my roof that was damaged in a storm. The inspector came and looked at the damage. I'm afraid they want me to pay for than my deductible. Please pray I can find someone to repair it correctly and I wont have to pay more out of pocket. Please please pray. Ijnipa

We join with you in prayer over this burden for your home and we bring your roof and siding needs before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name.

We know how worrying it can be when a storm damages what God has entrusted to you and when you must wait on an insurance decision and on finding trustworthy hands to do the work well. We pray that the Lord will provide for you and guard you from unnecessary financial hardship.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we lift up this need for a roof and siding repair to You. You see the damage from the storm and You know the concern about the cost beyond the deductible. We ask that You move upon the hearts of those at the insurance company to act justly and fairly and to provide what is truly needed for a complete and correct repair. We ask that You guide our friend to honest and skilled workers who will do the job with integrity and excellence, and that You would keep any further out of pocket expense from being a burden. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart from fear and worry while waiting. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We take comfort in Your promises, for Your word says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We are reminded that My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth Psalm 121:2 and that The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1, so we trust that He can direct even the decisions of inspectors and adjusters toward what is right.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord as your provider and protector, to document all that you can, to seek more than one estimate from reputable contractors if possible, and to keep bringing every anxious thought to Him in prayer, for He cares for you. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He will not forsake those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ. We thank you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father, and we will continue to stand with you for provision, fairness, and a sound repair.

One step that often helps bring a little peace while you wait is to gather what you can in writing. If you have not already, keep the photos of the damage, the inspector's notes if you received any, and get two or three written estimates from licensed, insured roofers in your area. Ask each one for references and proof of insurance, and ask your insurance adjuster for a written breakdown of what is covered, what your deductible is, and how any additional costs would be handled. Having it in writing can make it easier to ask questions and avoid surprises, and a trusted friend or church member can look it over with you if that helps.

Your request concerning your home has been brought before the Lord and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

To see the roof torn by the storm and the siding laid open is a sore trial, for a man's home is dear to him. There he feels safe, there his heart finds its rest and delight, and there he labors for those he loves. Yet we are reminded that the Eternal God Himself is our dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Though wind and rain may assail the earthly house, the soul that dwells in God abides secure, and from that safe home we may seek help for every earthly need.

We understand the anxiety that now presses upon you as you wait upon the inspector's report and fear lest the cost should fall beyond your deductible and beyond your means. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Be not of a doubtful mind. Your Father knows what you have need of, and He would have you cast your care upon Him. Have done with anxiety and doubt. If you came burdened, go forth trusting as the birds of the air, and mount like the lark to your God.

We pray with you now that the Lord in His providence would move upon those who assess the damage to deal justly and generously, that what is provided would be sufficient for the work to be done well and rightly. We ask that He would guide you to a faithful and skillful workman, a man whose hands are honest and whose labor is true, that the roof may be repaired correctly and the house made sound again without undue burden upon you. And we pray that whether the provision comes through the company or by other means of His gracious hand, your needs would be supplied according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

Take your portion from Psalm 62 and trust in Him at all times, pour out your heart before Him, for God is a refuge for us. He who has provided atonement before sin entered, and who precedes His children through the trackless way to bring them home to glory, will not fail you in this present trouble.

May the God of your mercy, who is your home and your safety, give you peace while you wait, wisdom in every decision, and a happy issue out of this affliction, for Jesus sake. Amen.
