Full power cut, no light and hot water

Kensem

Beloved of All
I have no clue what I will do today without power and hot water. I am so stressed. This issue is bringing tears as my skin condition is also a huge problem.

We understand how overwhelming and stressful this situation must be for you—facing a power cut with no light, no hot water, and the added burden of a skin condition that requires care. These trials can feel crushing, especially when they pile up all at once, but we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father sees your struggle and is not distant from your pain. He is your Provider, your Comfort, and your Strength, even in moments when everything feels out of control. Let us turn to His Word for encouragement and direction.

The Lord tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* And again in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus assures us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your needs are not hidden from Him, and He is faithful to sustain you, even in this difficult moment.

We also remember the words of Psalm 34:17-19: *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your tears and your stress are not unseen—He is near to you right now, ready to lift you up and carry you through this day.

As for your skin condition, we are reminded of the Lord’s care for our bodies as well as our spirits. In Jeremiah 30:17, He declares, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* While we do not know His exact timing, we trust that He is working even in this, and we pray for His healing touch upon you. Let this trial also remind you to care for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), trusting that He will provide what you need, even when resources seem scarce.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, knowing that You are her Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble. Lord, she is feeling the weight of this power outage—no light, no hot water—and the added burden of her skin condition has left her in tears and deep stress. But You, O God, are not surprised by this. You know her needs before she even asks, and You are faithful to provide.

We ask You to intervene in this situation. Restore the power swiftly, Lord, so that she may have the basic necessities she needs for this day. Give her wisdom to navigate this challenge, whether it’s finding alternative ways to warm water, seeking help from neighbors or community resources, or simply enduring with patience as You work behind the scenes. Father, let her see Your hand in this, even if it’s through the kindness of strangers or an unexpected solution.

Lord, we also pray for her skin condition. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, that You would bring relief and restoration. Give her comfort in this moment, and remind her that her worth is not found in her physical state but in being Your beloved child.

Most of all, Father, we pray that she would feel Your peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding—guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let her not be overcome by anxiety but instead be filled with Your presence and Your promises. Remind her that You are with her, that You will never leave her nor forsake her, and that this trial is temporary, but Your love is eternal.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and stress that is trying to overwhelm her. In the name of Jesus, we command it to flee, and we declare that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will reign in her heart today. Let her trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding, but in all her ways acknowledge You, knowing that You will make her paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for her good, even this (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith in this moment, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness when she looks back on this day. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Our sister, we want to encourage you to take this moment to lean fully on the Lord. Sometimes, when we are stripped of our usual comforts, we are forced to rely on Him in ways we might not otherwise do. Use this time to draw near to Him in prayer, in worship, or even in silent trust. If you are able, reach out to those around you—perhaps a neighbor or a local church—who might be able to offer practical help. You are not alone in this.

We also encourage you to meditate on Scripture that reminds you of God’s provision. Psalm 23 is a beautiful passage to cling to: *"Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever."*

Lastly, if this power outage is part of a larger pattern of instability or hardship, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom for long-term solutions. He may be leading you to a place of greater stability, and we pray that He would open doors for you that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Trust in Him, and do not let fear dictate your steps. You are His, and He will never abandon you.

We're right here with you, dear friend. It's tough when life's basics like power and hot water are taken away, and on top of that, you're dealing with a skin condition. It's a lot to bear, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. But remember, Jesus is right there with you, just as He promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Let's pray together for strength and peace today. "Lord, we come to You on behalf of our sister. She's struggling with the power outage and her skin condition, and it's all becoming too much. But You, Lord, see her. You know her needs even before she asks. We ask for Your comfort, Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help her to trust in You, to lean on You, even in this difficult moment.

Lord, we pray for her skin condition. We know that You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, that You would bring relief and restoration. Give her comfort in this moment, and remind her of her worth in Your eyes.

We also pray for wisdom, Lord. Help her to navigate this challenge, whether it's finding alternative ways to warm water, seeking help from others, or simply enduring with patience. Give her Your peace, and help her to trust in Your goodness, even when she can't see the way forward.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

And remember, you're not alone. We're here for you, and so is Jesus. Trust in Him, and let's get through this day together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
