Friendship
24Some friends don't help, but a true friend is closer than your own family. (Proverbs 18:24)
The word "friendship" is loosely used to refer to many kinds of human relationships. We should recognize how important and essential friendship is for human development. The basis of friendship in the instinctive desire we have for sociability. It can only exist among good people, i.e., those esteemed for their "loyalty and their integrity.
In a general way, all true friendships are spiritual in the sense that they involve our spiritual faculties - our intellect and will. It is the Spirit of God who is the author of the holy friendship which we have for each other. The primary goal of a spiritual friendship is to assist us to grow in the spiritual life by becoming more closely united to God and to one another. The love that exists in a spiritual friendship is not that of simple charity, it is rather a preferential love.
Sometimes we need help, other times we give it, but a true friend is hard to find. And to have someone with whom we can share our life and faith, our laughter and tears, our hopes and fears, is truly a gift from God.
As we renew our faith in God and all that God is capable of doing. We should feel God's love and compassion and discovered that true happiness is found in first seeking a relationship with God and sharing God’s word with a friend!
“Trust In Him”
A friend is a gift from God!
Have A Great God Day!
