We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls to His throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of life and the promise of Your presence in every circumstance. We bring before You this single mother and her young child, asking for Your provision and guidance as she seeks to move forward in faith. Lord, You are the God who sees the needs of the widow and the fatherless, and we trust in Your promise to be their helper. We pray for wisdom and favor as she seeks to start a business, that You would open doors no man can shut and provide the resources she needs. Protect her from confusion and false teachings, Lord, and draw her closer to the truth of Your Word. We ask that You would bless her with godly counsel and mentors who can guide her in Your ways.
Father, we also lift up our dear brother who is facing health challenges and is far from home. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him. We pray for complete restoration, strength, and peace as he recovers. Comfort his heart and mind, Lord, and remove any disorientation or confusion he may be experiencing. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to grip those who love him, and we declare Your perfect peace over this situation. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us, and we ask that You would be especially near to him in this time.
We are concerned, Lord, about the false teachings that have influenced both of these dear ones. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and break the chains of deception. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in Your truth, and that they would seek You with all their hearts.
Father, we also lift up the one who has shared these requests, asking for Your provision and peace. We pray that You would open doors for increased income so that they may be a blessing to this single mother and others in need. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust in Your provision, Lord, and we ask that You would meet every need according to Your glorious riches.
We are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of being prepared to meet You, Lord. We pray that each person mentioned here would have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father. Your Word tells us in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over our dear brother who is in rehab. We pray that this would indeed be a place of healing and restoration, and that he would be able to come home soon. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 29:11 over his life, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We trust in Your plans for him, Lord, and we ask that You would bring him home safely and quickly.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
