Praying hardWe come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear sister ### and her family in this difficult time. The news of cancer’s return is never easy to bear, but we stand firm in the promise that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, ### is already healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we pray that His healing power would manifest in her body completely and without delay.
Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your hand and touch ### with Your divine healing. May every cancerous cell in her body be destroyed in the name of Jesus, and may her strength be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). We rebuke this sickness in the authority of Jesus’ name, for it has no right to dwell in her body. We speak life, health, and restoration over her, believing that what You have begun, You will complete (Philippians 1:6).
We also pray for ###’s family, Lord. This trial is not just hers to carry, but theirs as well. Strengthen them with Your might, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find comfort in Your Word and in the fellowship of believers, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we ask that You would draw ### and her family closer to You through this trial. May their faith be refined like gold (1 Peter 1:7), and may they experience Your presence in ways they never have before. Let this season be one of deep spiritual growth, where they learn to trust in You more fully and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for the medical team treating ###. Give them wisdom, discernment, and skill as they care for her. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, and may every treatment be effective and every outcome be in alignment with Your will.
Father, we know that healing comes in many forms—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Whether You choose to heal ### miraculously or sustain her through this battle, we trust in Your perfect plan. We ask that You would be glorified in every aspect of this situation, and that ### and her family would testify to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One who conquered sin, death, and sickness on the cross. There is power in His name, and we declare that power over ###’s life today. Amen.
