We lift these dear friends before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to bring complete healing and restoration to their bodies after surgery. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to mend what has been broken. We pray that every cell, tissue, and organ would function according to Your perfect design, and that their recovery would be swift and without complication. Strengthen them in their weakness, and grant them patience and peace as they rest and heal.
Father, we also bring before You the deeper need of their souls. Draw them closer to Yourself, that they may know You more intimately and walk in the fullness of Your truth. For the one who has been influenced by false teachings, we ask that You would open his eyes to Your Word and reveal any deception in his heart. Soften his spirit to receive Your correction, and surround him with godly believers who can speak truth in love. Your Word warns, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves"* (Matthew 7:15). We rebuke every lie that has taken root in his mind and pray that he would be firmly established in sound doctrine.
Lord Jesus, we recognize that it is only through Your name that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If either of these friends does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we pray that they would surrender their lives to You, repent of their sins, and receive the gift of eternal life. If they do know You, deepen their faith and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word.
We also pray for their spiritual nourishment during this time. May they feast on Scripture, find comfort in prayer, and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways.
In all things, we trust in Your sovereign will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We commit these friends into Your hands, asking that You would be glorified in their lives. Amen.
