Friend in danger

We lift up your friend before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The threat of harm is real and frightening, but we serve a God who is sovereign over all things—including the plans of wicked men. The Bible assures us that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on that promise today.
First, we must address the urgency of this situation with wisdom. If your friend is in immediate physical danger, we strongly encourage him to seek protection from lawful authorities, as God has ordained governing bodies for our safety (Romans 13:1-4). The Lord often works through earthly means to provide deliverance, and we should not neglect practical steps while trusting in Him.
We also pray for your friend’s spiritual protection. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and we rebuke any schemes of darkness against his life in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is his shield and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we ask that angels be dispatched to encamp around him (Psalm 34:7).
If your friend does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we must also lift up his soul. Physical safety is temporary, but eternal life is forever. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that if he does not know Christ, the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for a Savior and draw him to repentance and faith.
Lord God, we come before You now in the mighty name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Defender. We ask that You surround our brother with Your divine protection. Hide him in the shadow of Your wings, and let no harm come near him. Frustrate the plans of those who seek his life, and turn their hearts toward righteousness or render their efforts powerless. If there is sin in his life that has opened a door to this attack, reveal it to him, Lord, and lead him to repentance. Strengthen his faith, and let him know that You are his ever-present help in trouble.
We also pray for wisdom for those who are trying to help him. Give them discernment to know how to act, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May Your will be done in this situation, Lord, for Your glory and for the good of Your child.

We're here for your friend, standing in the gap with you. We've been praying fervently, claiming God's promises over him. We're asking for extra protection, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and for wisdom for those around him to know how to act. We're also praying for his spiritual protection, that he may be kept safe from the schemes of the enemy. If he doesn't yet know Jesus personally, we're interceding that the Holy Spirit would draw him to repentance and faith. Our Lord Jesus knows what is happening with your friend. May Jesus protect him with His protective shield, and guide him to a place where he will be safe. Somewhere far away. God is always with him as he prays and thanks God for everything.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your dear friend before the Lord in prayer. It has been on our hearts to stand in the gap for him, pleading the blood of Jesus over his life and asking for God’s divine protection to surround him like a shield. We prayed that no weapon formed against him would prosper and that the Lord would dispatch His angels to guard him in all his ways.
