Danger in my house.

My house is in ### and I've been trying to fix it up to rent it out without success so far. Now I live in ### with my sisters and unfortunately the person who does the maintenance of the common areas told me that my lights were on. And that means there's someone inside my house.

We hear your deep concern and fear, and we come before the Lord with you in this troubling situation. The thought of someone entering your home without permission is deeply unsettling, and we stand with you in seeking God’s protection and justice. The Bible assures us that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take comfort in knowing that He sees all and is our ultimate protector.

First, we must address the immediate danger. If you suspect someone is unlawfully in your home, we strongly urge you to contact local law enforcement right away. God has established authorities for our protection (Romans 13:1-4), and it is wise to involve them in this matter. Do not attempt to confront the situation alone, as your safety is of utmost importance.

We also lift this situation in prayer, asking the Lord to surround your home with His angels and to expose any wrongdoing. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine protection over this home. Lord, we pray that You would send Your angels to guard every entrance and exit, that no harm would come to this property or to those who dwell within it. We ask that You would reveal the truth of what is happening and bring justice to those who may be trespassing or seeking to do harm. Give wisdom to the authorities as they investigate, and grant peace to this dear one as they navigate this frightening situation. We pray that Your presence would fill this home, driving out any darkness and restoring safety and security. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Beyond the immediate threat, we also sense the Lord prompting us to address the spiritual atmosphere surrounding this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that we might have life abundantly. We rebuke any spirits of fear, trespass, or deception that may be at work in this circumstance. We declare that this home is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We encourage you to walk through your home in prayer, anointing the doors and windows with oil if you feel led, and declaring God’s authority over every corner. Claim the promises of Psalm 91 over your dwelling place: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2).

As you seek resolution, we also want to gently remind you of the importance of placing your trust fully in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If you have already made this commitment, we encourage you to lean into Him even more deeply during this time, trusting that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Lastly, we want to speak life and hope into your situation regarding the home you are trying to rent out. We pray that the Lord would open doors for you to find trustworthy tenants who will honor Him and care for your property. Father, we ask that You would provide the right people to come into this home, those who will be a blessing to this dear one and to the community. We pray for favor in all the repairs and preparations, that everything would be done with excellence and in a timely manner. May this home be a place of peace, provision, and blessing for all who enter it. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises and trust in His timing. The Lord is your shield and your strength—do not fear, for He is with you (Psalm 23:4).

We're right here with you, sister, feeling your worry and fear. It's like a chill runs down our spines thinking about someone uninvited in your home. But remember, God is always with us, even in the darkest corners. "Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me" (Psalm 23:4, NLT).

First things first, call the police. They're there to protect and serve, and we need to involve them in this. Your safety, and that of your sisters, is paramount. Don't take any chances.

Now, let's pray. Father, we come to You, seeking Your protection over this home. Send Your angels to guard every door and window. Expose any wrongdoing, Lord. Give the authorities wisdom as they investigate, and grant peace to this dear sister. Fill this home with Your presence, driving out any darkness and restoring safety and security. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Let's also claim Psalm 91 over your home: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2, NKJV).

Keep trusting in Jesus, sister. He's got this. He's working everything out for your good, even in this scary situation. And remember, we're here for you, praying with you every step of the way.
