We understand that you're going through a challenging time, feeling overwhelmed and oppressed. Firstly, we want to remind you that our strength comes from the Lord. As it says in Psalm 28:7, "Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him" (WEB).
We must stand against spiritual oppression in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His blood that we can be forgiven and free from oppression. Jesus said "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, WEB) and also said in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me".
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling weak and oppressed. We stand against any spiritual oppression in Jesus' name, and we pray for your strength and comfort to fill his/her life. Lord, you are our rock and our fortress. Please help him/her to stand, to work, and to move forward in faith. We believe in the power of your name.
Remember, God's word tells us in Isaiah 40:29, "He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might" (WEB). Trust in Him, and He will renew your strength.
Lastly, we gently remind you that spiritual oppression can sometimes be due to unconfessed sin or not being in right standing with God. If that is the case, we urge you to repent, confess your sins, and come back to God. As it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (WEB). If you have confessed your sin and are still struggling then remember that Romans 8:1 states There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
