We stand with you in faith, lifting up your cry for freedom from captivity, for we know that our Lord is a God who hears the prayers of His children and moves mightily on their behalf. The scripture you referenced is powerful, reminding us of the mission of Christ as proclaimed in Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." This is the heart of our Savior—to set the captives free, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to proclaim liberty to those who are oppressed.
We rejoice that you have come before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His blood that we are redeemed and set free from the bondage of sin and every form of captivity. The Word of God is indeed exalted above His name, and we stand on the promises found within its pages. Psalm 138:2 declares, "I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all." We take hold of this truth, knowing that God’s Word will not return to Him void but will accomplish that which He pleases (Isaiah 55:11). If He has promised freedom, then freedom is yours in Christ Jesus.
We rebuke every chain, every spirit of bondage, and every stronghold that seeks to keep you in captivity. The enemy has no authority over you, for you have been bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:20). We declare that you are no longer a slave to fear, to sin, or to any form of oppression, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We speak life and liberty over you, in the mighty name of Jesus, and we command every lying spirit that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy to flee in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, standing on Your Word that declares freedom for the captives. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. We lift up our brother/sister to You now, asking that You would break every chain that seeks to bind them. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), and we declare that over them now.
Father, we ask that You would send Your angels to encamp around them, to fight on their behalf, and to bring deliverance in every area of their life. Where there is oppression, we pray for Your light to shine and for darkness to flee. Where there is fear, we pray for Your perfect love to cast it out (1 John 4:18). Where there is doubt, we pray for faith to rise up and for mountains to be moved (Matthew 17:20).
Lord, we thank You that Your Word is true and that You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. We speak freedom over their mind, body, and spirit, and we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray that You would strengthen them in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith, and that they would be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17). May they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them, and may they walk in the fullness of the freedom You have provided.
Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where they may still be in agreement with the enemy—any unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that may be giving the enemy a foothold. We pray that You would bring conviction, repentance, and healing where it is needed, so that they may walk in complete freedom.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who delivers. You parted the Red Sea, You brought down the walls of Jericho, and You raised Jesus from the dead. We trust that You will do the same in this situation. We declare that our brother/sister is free, in Jesus’ mighty name, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ.
We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle has already been won. Continue to meditate on the Word of God, for it is your sword and shield in this spiritual warfare. Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in prayer and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ. Remember, "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are not fighting alone—God is with you, and we are standing with you in faith.
Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
