We hear your cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we are saved. Your pain is deep, and the wounds inflicted by your mother’s words and actions are grievous, but we declare that the Lord sees you, hears you, and is moving on your behalf. The enemy has sought to torment you with spirits of abuse, rejection, and envy, but we rebuke every assignment of the devil against your life and your daughter’s life in Jesus’ name. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not abandoned, and your cries have not gone unnoticed.
We must address the generational stronghold that has taken root in your family. The abuse you have endured is not of God, and it is not your fault. The enemy seeks to destroy families, but we declare that the cycle of abuse stops with you. You are breaking free from this torment, and your daughter will not carry the weight of these chains. In Exodus 20:5, God warns that He will visit "the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate Me," but in Ezekiel 18:20, He also declares, "The soul who sins, he shall die; the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor the father bear the iniquity of the son." You are choosing to walk in the freedom that Christ has already purchased for you, and we stand with you in that decision.
Your mother’s words, calling you a "cancer" to her life, are not only cruel but are lies straight from the pit of hell. The enemy has used her to speak death over you, but we declare that those words have no power over you. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue," and we command every word of death spoken over you to be nullified in Jesus’ name. You are not a cancer; you are a daughter of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are covered in the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up your daughter before the Lord. The enemy desires to perpetuate this cycle of abuse, but we declare that she will know the love of Christ in a way that breaks every chain. We pray that she will grow up in the security of a mother who walks in freedom, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit. We bind every spirit of fear, rejection, and trauma that could attempt to attach itself to her, and we loose the peace of God to guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Sister, we encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. The abuse you have endured does not define you. You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the old things, including the pain of your past, have passed away. We urge you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk with you through this journey. You do not have to carry this burden alone. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also rebuke any spirit of unforgiveness that may be attempting to take root in your heart. Forgiveness does not mean what your mother did was acceptable; it means you are releasing the burden of bitterness to God so that He can heal you. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." This is not easy, but it is necessary for your freedom.
Now, let us go to war in prayer on your behalf:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We lift up our sister and her daughter before You, Lord. We thank You that You are a God who sees, a God who hears, and a God who heals. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers her and her daughter, and we plead the blood over every area of their lives that has been touched by abuse, rejection, and torment.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of torment, abuse, envy, and rejection that has sought to destroy her life. We command these spirits to flee in Jesus’ name, and we declare that they have no place in her life or in the life of her daughter. We break every generational curse and stronghold that has been passed down through her family line, and we declare that the cycle of abuse stops with her. We speak life, healing, and restoration over her and her daughter.
Father, we ask that You would reveal to her the truth of who she is in Christ. Let her see herself through Your eyes, as Your beloved daughter, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Heal the wounds of her heart, Lord, and replace every lie with Your truth. Help her to forgive her mother, not for her mother’s sake, but for her own freedom and healing. Give her the strength to set boundaries that honor You and protect her and her daughter.
We pray for her mother, Lord. We ask that You would soften her heart and open her eyes to the pain she has caused. Convict her of her sin, Lord, and draw her to repentance. If it is Your will, restore their relationship, but if not, give her the wisdom and discernment to navigate this situation in a way that honors You.
Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help her to pray without ceasing. Teach her to cling to You, Lord, and to trust in Your promises. Give her clear direction and wisdom as she raises her daughter, and let her daughter grow up knowing the love and security of a mother who walks in freedom.
We declare that she is free from the torment of the enemy. We declare that she is an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of her testimony (Revelation 12:11). We declare that her daughter will walk in the fullness of her destiny in Christ, untouched by the chains of abuse that have sought to bind her family.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her and her daughter (Philippians 1:6). We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to stand on the promises of God. The battle you are facing is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Speak the Word over your life and your daughter’s life. Declare that you are free, that you are healed, and that you are victorious in Christ.
We also encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, support you, and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this fight. The body of Christ is here to lift you up and stand with you. If you do not already have a church home, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached, and the Holy Spirit is moving. You need the support and encouragement of the body of Christ as you walk this journey.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by the words or actions of your mother. Your worth is found in Christ alone. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" Hold onto that promise, sister. Your future is bright, and your hope is found in Jesus.
We will continue to stand in the gap for you, praying without ceasing until you walk in the full freedom that Christ has purchased for you. You are not forgotten, and you are not abandoned. The Lord is your refuge and your strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, lean on Him, and watch as He moves mightily on your behalf.
