We lift you up in prayer, seeking God’s will and wisdom over every area of your life, for we know that His plans are good, and His ways are perfect. First, we must address something with love and truth: you mention a "new found union," but we do not see the name of Jesus Christ invoked in your request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If this union is not centered on Christ, it cannot be blessed by God, for *"unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). We urge you to examine this relationship in light of Scripture. Is this person a believer in Jesus Christ? Are you both seeking God’s will for marriage, which is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church? If there is any immorality—such as living together outside of marriage or sexual sin—we must lovingly but firmly rebuke this, for *"marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). Repentance and alignment with God’s Word are essential for His blessing.
If this union is pure and centered on Christ, then we pray earnestly for God’s favor upon it. May He knit your hearts together in righteousness, preparing you both for a marriage that honors Him. *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). We pray that if this is not yet marriage, you would pursue courtship with purity, patience, and the intention of a godly marriage. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB).
We lift up your health and the health of the one you mention, asking the Lord to strengthen your bodies and grant you vitality. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2, WEB). For your son, we pray that the Lord would open doors for an excellent education and a future filled with godly friendships. May he grow in wisdom and stature, and may the Lord prepare a kind, virtuous young woman for him in His perfect timing—a woman who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6, WEB). We pray that your son would be rooted in Christ, so that any future relationship would be built on faith and purity.
For your niece, we ask the Lord to guide her steps and grant her wisdom as she seeks a new home. May this apartment be a place of peace, growth, and godly community. We pray that her friendship would be one that encourages her in the Lord, *"as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance"* (Proverbs 27:17, WEB). May she seek first God’s kingdom, trusting that He will provide all she needs.
Lastly, we intercede for your sister’s husband, asking the Lord to restore his health and grant him strength. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). May the Lord be his healer and comforter, and may your sister find peace in trusting Him through this trial.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You would align every relationship and circumstance with Your Word. Forgive any sin, and lead each one into repentance and righteousness. Grant wisdom, health, and godly connections.
