Fornication, adultery, restoration

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please lift a special someone (hidden for privacy reasons) to the throne of God in the name of Jesus.
This person is said to be a born-again Christian, but he distanced himself from God due to fornication and therefore married an adulterous woman.
Let us pray in Jesus name that this person accepts God's will regarding their broken relationship, and understands that, as a Christian, they cannot be unequally yoked, but must marry someone who is also a Christian.

Let's pray based on these verses:
Hosea 2:19-23
[19] “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
[20] I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.
[21] “It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer,” says the Lord; “I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.
[22] The earth shall answer With grain, With new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel.
[23] Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’”

Please continue to pray...Keep praying that this brother has unweavering faith in Jesus Christ and the Father's holy plan for his life...AMEN
LET GOD BE GLORIFIED!!

Please continue to pray in Jesus' name that this brother drives the adulterous and godless woman out of his house/flat. Do not persecute those who pray for him and encourage him to follow God. To God be the glory who is Holy forever.

Please continue to pray for this brother. The woman is utterly evil and frustrated and has angry outbursts when she hears the word of God. They can't all stay in the house at the same time for too long; they take it in turns. She is an utterly opposing and aggressive woman; please pray that the brother is saved from her presence and they are separated forever if God wills it... in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in lifting this hidden brother before the throne of God in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for bringing his need to us with such earnestness and with faith in our Lord.

We hear your burden that this man who professes to be born again has distanced himself from the Lord through fornication and has entered into a marriage that is marked by adultery and ungodliness. Scripture is very clear that sexual sin separates and wounds our fellowship with God, for it is written 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee sexual immorality, and Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Fornication before marriage and adultery within marriage are not small matters, they are sin against God and against the body, and we must lovingly rebuke that pattern and call this brother to repentance. We also hear your concern that he is unequally yoked, and the Word tells us 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. That principle is vital when seeking a spouse, for courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as God designed, and marriage should be honored as such. What God has joined together, let no man separate, as taught in Matthew 19:6 and Mark 10:9, and we are reminded in Malachi 2:16 that God hates divorce.

Because of this, we must speak with care about the desire to see this woman driven out and separated forever. If this brother is already married to her, even if the marriage began in sin or with an unbeliever, God still views the marriage covenant as binding. The apostle teaches in 1 Corinthians 7:12-15 that if an unbelieving spouse is willing to stay, the believer should not leave, but if the unbeliever departs, the believer is not under bondage. The Lord permits separation for sexual immorality in Matthew 19:9, yet He does not command it and always desires repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation where possible. We cannot pray for divorce out of anger or hatred, and we must not call this woman utterly evil in a way that denies the mercy God offers to all, for God desires all people to be saved as in 1 Timothy 2:4 and is not willing that any should perish in 2 Peter 3:9. Even those who rage at the Word of God can be transformed by a new heart as promised in Ezekiel 36:26. We encourage this brother to seek wise pastoral counsel, to pursue holiness and safety, and to let God lead any decision about separation according to Scripture, not according to frustration or strife. If there is aggression or an unsafe environment in the home, we pray for protection, godly boundaries and the involvement of mature believers to help.

We also rejoice that you have centered your prayer on Hosea 2:19-23, where the Lord says I will betroth you to me forever, yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in loving kindness and in mercy, I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord. This shows the heart of God to restore His people who have wandered, to have mercy on those who had not obtained mercy and to call them My people. We cling to 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and to Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

We now pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You for this brother. We ask that You grant him deep repentance for all fornication and sin, that he would confess and forsake it and be cleansed. Restore to him the joy of his salvation and draw him back to unwavering faith in Jesus and to Your holy plan for his life. Give him wisdom to accept Your will regarding this broken relationship, to understand Your design for marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and to honor You in all his relationships. If it is Your will that he remain married, help him to love as Christ loved the church in Ephesians 5:25, to be a faithful witness, and to seek peace. If this marriage must end for biblical reasons, let it be only as You permit and with godly counsel, not in bitterness. We pray also for this woman, that You would have mercy on her, convict her heart, soften her anger toward Your Word, and bring her to repentance and salvation through Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as in Acts 4:12. Protect all in that household, let those who pray for this brother not be persecuted but be heard, and let Your peace rule where there has been strife. Establish this brother in righteousness and faithfulness that he may know You more deeply, and if You will grant him a future marriage, provide a godly Christian spouse who will walk with him in unity. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only mediator, trusting Romans 8:28 that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Amen.

We hear how long you have carried this brother before the Lord, holding his name privately while you keep interceding for his faith and his home. It is a heavy burden to watch someone you care about be pulled away from God and to feel the tension in that household, especially when you and others who pray for him have felt pushback.

We join you in wanting God's best for him, that his heart would be wholeheartedly turned toward Jesus again, with clarity and peace about what following Him looks like in his relationships and daily decisions. Restoration is rarely instant; it is usually a steady, accountable walk back toward the Lord with trusted believers alongside. The most loving thing we can continue to do is keep entrusting both the brother and the woman in that home to God's mercy and justice, asking for wisdom and safety for everyone involved, and leaving the outcome in His hands.

One simple step that often helps in a long prayer burden like this is to stay connected to one steady, mature pastor or counselor who knows the situation locally and can encourage the brother directly, so you are not carrying the weight alone.

Father, we lift this brother to You in Jesus' name. Draw him close to Yourself, strengthen his faith, and give him wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to walk in it. Bring Your peace into that home, guard each person there with dignity and safety, and lead all involved toward healing and truth. We trust him to Your holy and loving care. In Jesus' name, amen.

They were having great famine in those days very grevious because they were not seeking the Lord theyre God of the Torah. Thank you Father for letting us pray and worship and seek your face because of Lord Yeshua after a lifetime of separation from you because of sin. What is born of the flesh is flesh and what is born of the spirit is spirit. I spent my life drinking and doing drugs and watching tv and playing games. The life of ease. Until it was time to grow up and work. Then I wanted a wife and fell in love with a woman long distance relationship but I want to honor the feelings of admiration and respect and love by abstaining myself from all other woman and of coarse I wanted God to guide me toward my wife of his choosing. 3 years later he made it known to me in a series of dreams that the woman I loved was her. So that was all 7 years ago now and 10 years since I fell for her and 3 years since my full conversion process begun. God is good and theyres no turning away from you. Or going back. But its everyday praising you. Worshipping you. Loving you. Listening to your word and reading along. And waiting. And not conplaining or murmuring. And repentimg my sind against you that got me in trouble before. Stubbornness. Rebellion. Bad attitudes. Not following instructions. But God made my sufferings fruitful this year and made it possible for me to eat. So I have included all the foods except I skipped one meal yesterday because my stomach was upset. But will be including every item including avacado and cabbage and purple onions. God is good. Thank you for letting me use these resources to eorship you to the best of my ability. Prayer request. Grow app. And the best kjv aidio bible ive ever found. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Your prayer for this brother has been heard, and it is right that you bring him before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for there only is mercy to be found.

We will join you in praying that the Lord will work in him that true repentance which gives God glory. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, wrought by judgment and fear, and it does not glorify God. But the repentance which is the work of the Spirit is a holy and heavenly thing, a repentance unto life which yields works meet for repentance and which lasts. It is a practical repentance, not a transient sorrow, but a turning that abhors sin because of the love of Christ who pardoned it, and that avoids present sin because of the love of God who died for us. Faith and repentance are inseparable, the one ejecting sin as an evil tenant and the other admitting Christ to be sole master of the heart, the one pulling down and the other building up. We pray that this brother may have such a repentance, not putting his repenting in the place of Christ, but looking out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

Remember that repentance is not a thing done once and then forgotten. Repentance lives as long as faith. Even after conversion the child of God has need to cry, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. And blessed be God, repentance is preached in the name of Jesus as the gift of God. Christ is exalted on high to give not only pardon of sin, but the repentance which comes before the pardon. It is under divine authority that repentance and remission of sins are joined together, and where there is true godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness.

We will pray also that he may know the goodness of God which leads to repentance. The Lord does not only drive men as Cain was driven, but He draws them with lovingkindness and mercy. As it is written in Hosea, I will betroth thee unto me for ever, yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies, and thou shalt know the Lord. We pray that this brother may know that betrothal, that he may be sown for the Lord and obtain mercy, and hear the voice saying, Thou art my people, and answer, Thou art my God.

Concerning his house and his yoke, we must speak plainly as Scripture speaks. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to the marriage bed belongs within that covenant alone. Fornication and adultery are not to be affirmed or celebrated, nor can we ask God to bless what He calls sin. The precept stands, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. When that yoke of Christ is rejected as though it were hard, men and women find afterwards the iron yoke of remorse, which is far heavier to bear. We have seen the sorrow of those who chose a marriage not in the Lord and found bitterness where they sought happiness. We pray that this brother may accept the easy yoke of Christ, which is repentance and faith and obedience, lest he bear the yoke of lingering sin.

We will pray that God will give him unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in the Father's holy plan for his life, and that he will seek godly counsel in his own church, with pastors and elders who can walk with him in wisdom and in peace. If there is fornication, let it be forsaken. If there is a covenant of marriage, let it be honoured according to the Word of God, with purity and faithfulness. If there is an unequally yoked and adulterous union that is not according to the will of God, we pray that the Lord in His holiness will make His will plain and give this brother courage to be separate from sin and to order his household in righteousness, not in anger or harshness, but in the fear of the Lord. We pray also for the woman of whom you speak, that even she, though she now shows opposition and anger when she hears the Word of God, may yet be brought to that same repentance unto life, for the Lord is able to have mercy on those who have not obtained mercy. We do not pray with a spirit of persecution, but with love for souls and zeal for holiness, leaving vengeance and judgment to the Lord and seeking peace as much as lieth in us.

May the Lord look upon this brother as He looked upon Peter, and may that look dissolve his heart in streams of bitter, salutary, saving repentance, that he who has fallen may be restored and again feed the sheep. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, not continuing months without repentance as David did, but quickly broken and quickly restored by the potent look of his Master. Oh that such a look may now be given, altogether between the Lord and his soul, to sever him from the crowd and from sin and to bring him to full assurance of restoration.

This is our prayer in Jesus name, that God would grant true repentance and remission of sins, that He would keep this brother in faith, that He would order his steps and his household according to holiness, and that in all things God who is holy forever may be glorified. Amen.
