Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace and we thank you for your heart to see him come to saving faith in our Lord Jesus.

We are encouraged by the verse you shared, Luke 9:24, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the very heart of the gospel, that clinging to our own way and our own life apart from Christ leads to loss, but surrendering our life fully to Jesus leads to eternal life. We agree with you that true life is only found when a person lays down his life and takes up his cross to follow Him, as Jesus also said in Matthew 16:25. Our prayer is that your former landlord will come to that place of surrender and faith.

We also join you in declaring that Jesus reigns over all darkness, for He is the light of the world and whoever follows Him will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life, John 8:12. We pray that any darkness or influence of unclean spirits would be expelled by His mighty power, for the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1:5.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, You are patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior and draw him by Your Holy Spirit to give his life wholly to Jesus, to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead so that he will be saved, Romans 10:9. We pray that he will hear Your voice, for Your sheep hear Your voice and follow You, John 10:27. Speak clearly to him concerning Your holy plan for his life, guide his steps and heal any brokenness in his journey, and let him know the hope to which You have called him, for we know the thoughts that You think toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We declare victory in this rented apartment situation in Jesus name and ask that Your will be done and that all involved will see Your greatness and power, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for him with love and to be a witness of the grace you have received, trusting that the Lord is working even when we cannot see it, and that He is able to bring this man into the light of His salvation.

We were moved by your heart for your former landlord. It would be easy to just move on from a rental situation, but you are asking God to reach him, and that reflects Christ's love.

We join you in praying that he comes to know Jesus truly, that the Lord would draw him and open his heart to give his life to Him. We also pray he would be attentive to God's leading and discover the good plan God has for his life.

One thing that has helped others praying for someone's salvation is to keep it simple and steady. If it helps, set a brief time each day to bring him by name before the Lord, entrusting him to God's mercy and timing without carrying the burden of the outcome yourself. God does the saving work, we get to be faithful in prayer and in showing grace where we can, even after a difficult tenancy.

Father, we lift this landlord to You. Draw him to Yourself, open his eyes to Your love in Jesus, and help him hear Your voice and follow Your way for his life. Bring healing where needed and guide his steps with Your mercy and grace. And encourage our friend as they continue to pray with hope. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, pleading the very word you have laid upon your heart, that whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ will save it.

There is permanence in God's salvation and truth in it, and we pray that this man may come to know that truth in his own soul. If he has truly seen his sinnership and his real fall, then there is truth for him in Christ's salvation. We ask the Lord to show him a real atonement, not a mere hope or sentiment, but the blessed doctrine of substitution where Christ bore sin in the sinner's place, and to grant him a real pardon, that being justified by faith he may know himself truly forgiven. For no salvation will serve his turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. We pray that his eyes may be opened to see Jesus and in seeing Him to see God's salvation itself, and that he may hear the simple command, believe and live, and live indeed.

We are reminded that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants. Our breath is in our nostrils, but He keeps it there, and we owe the continued possession of our existence every day to Him. There is a clause in the lease which none should forget, that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and leave His own property. We pray that this man may hear the still small voice of the great Landlord, obey the inward monitor, and offer the key of his house to Him, acknowledging that he lives on sufferance as His tenant and preparing to meet his God.

We pray also as you have asked that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the word alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power. May he put his ear down to the promises of Scripture till he hears God speaking through them to his soul, and may he take heed how he hears, coming not with low and sinister motives but as one in God's presence with a simple and lowly heart desiring to know His truth that he may sincerely live it. The saints know the voice of their Shepherd and a stranger they will not follow. May the Holy Spirit help him to be warned by the threats, cheered by the promises and comforted by every good word of the Lord, so that the word may be life and salvation to him. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus, You reign over darkness and Your light expels it. We ask in Your name that You would work deliverance for this man. Draw him by Your Spirit, that he may lose his life for Your sake and so save it. Grant him repentance and faith in You alone, for there is salvation in no other. Speak to him by Your word and Spirit, make Your way plain before him, and guide him into Your holy will. We ask for mercy and grace, that he may become Your own and You may be his, to the praise of Your greatness and power. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness which never fail. Hear us for Your mercy's sake. Amen.
