Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace in Jesus' name and we are encouraged by your heart to see him come to saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

You have chosen a powerful verse and we stand on it with you, for whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it Luke 9:24. This is the very heart of the gospel, that we must surrender our own way and our own life to follow Jesus, and in losing our life for Him we truly find eternal life. We also remember that Jesus said I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life John 8:12, and we pray that this light will expel all darkness and every unclean influence from this man.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness and for Your mighty power that no one can withstand. Lord Jesus, we declare that You reign over all darkness and we ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon this former landlord. We pray that You will soften his heart and open his eyes to see his need for You. Grant him repentance and faith so that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead Romans 10:9, and so be saved. Help him to lose his life for Your sake so that he will save it for eternity. We know that You are not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9, and we claim that promise for him.

We also pray that he will hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life. Your word says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17, so we pray You will bring Your word across his path, whether through Your written word, through believers, or through the gentle prompting of Your Holy Spirit, and that he will have ears to hear. We pray You will reveal to him the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and that he will walk in the newness of life as a new creation in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We also lift up the rented apartment situation to You and we agree with our brother and sister in declaring victory in Jesus' name. We ask for Your healing power and guidance over all involved, and that everyone will see Your greatness and power at work. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this situation.

We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers when we ask according to Your will 1 John 5:14. We trust You to continue Your good work and we rest in Your mercy. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing your former landlord before the Lord so faithfully. It means a lot that even after the apartment season has ended you are still carrying him in prayer and wanting what is best for his life and future.

We hear how much you want him to know the hope you have found, and to be able to discern God's leading for himself. That kind of intercession is itself love in action, and God sees it.

One thing that has helped us when we pray for someone's journey toward faith is to remember it is often a quiet, ongoing process. Continuing to lift him by name before the Father, while resting the outcome in God's hands, can keep your own heart both hopeful and at peace, especially if the rental situation carried any stress or unfinished feelings.

We join you in asking for grace over both of you as you each move forward.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this landlord to You. Draw him gently to Yourself, open his heart to Your love and truth, and help him hear Your voice and follow Your good plan for his life. Bring healing and peace over what was strained in the housing situation, and let Your mercy be evident to him through those who have prayed for him. Amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, and we count it a right and good burden that you have laid upon our hearts.

The word you have chosen is most solemn and most sweet. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. We cling with dreadful tenacity to this poor life and the little which we foolishly call our all, yet it were well if we could cling with such fast hold to the life that is to come, for that alone is worth clinging to since it is forever, whereas this life is to be but for a little time even at the longest. To lose our life for Christ is not to lose it at all, but to save it unto eternal joy, for those who come unto God by Jesus Christ are saved to the uttermost.

We pray now for this man, that the Holy Spirit will graciously draw him, that he may no longer stand afar off but run to the open arms of Christ and find salvation there. May he be led to look unto Jesus and be saved, for the Lord has said, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. May he see that sin is his only qualification to come to Jesus, and that whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. We ask that he may hear the voice of the Lord concerning His holy plan for his life, not judging for himself what is best, but doing what Jesus tells him, as Jesus tells him, because Jesus tells him, and giving himself wholly up to his Saviour to serve Him all his days.

O Lord Jesus, You reign over the darkness and Your light expels all darkness. We ask Your mercy and grace upon this man. Save him, we beseech You, by Your precious blood. Cause him to lose his life for Your sake that he may truly save it, and grant him repentance and faith as he looks alone to You, who ever lives to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by You. Heal and guide him according to Your perfect will, and daily load him with benefits as our Great Landlord who permits us to call upon You to supply all our need. Let him know the joy of coming near to God through Jesus Christ Your Son.

Thank you for bringing this prayer request before the Lord and for your desire to see your former landlord come to know Christ. We join with you in prayer according to the truth of Scripture.

The Lord Jesus said in Luke 9:24, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. This is the call of the gospel, to turn from trusting in ourselves and to entrust our whole life to Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone. We pray that your former landlord will hear this word, that the Holy Spirit will open his heart to see his need for a Savior, and that he will surrender his life to Jesus in repentance and faith so that he will not lose his life but will receive eternal life.

We also pray as you asked that he will hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, and that God speaks to us as we hear and receive His word with care and obedience. We pray that God will draw him to hear the gospel clearly, to read and understand the Scriptures, and to respond with a continual remembrance of the truth and a willingness to follow Christ in all things. Now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation, and we pray he will not delay but will turn to Christ today.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this man before Your throne of grace. You reign over all darkness and Your light expels darkness. Have mercy upon him and grant him the gift of salvation through faith in Your Son alone. Open his ears to hear Your voice in Your word, soften his heart to receive it, and lead him to lose his life for Jesus so that he may truly save it. Guide him by Your healing power and grace into Your holy plan for his life, that he may walk in Your ways and bring glory to Your name. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness and for the power of the cross and resurrection. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
