Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for there is no other way to the Father.

We stand in agreement with the heart of Luke 9:24, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Luke 9:24. What a precious truth that to surrender fully to Christ is not loss but eternal gain. We pray that your former landlord will come to understand this and will choose to lose his life for Jesus so that he may truly save it.

We also pray that he will hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. We ask that the Lord in His mercy will remove any spiritual deafness or hardness of heart and open his ears to hear God's holy plan for his life, to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

We thank God that you have declared the reign of Jesus over darkness, for we know that the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it, and that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, that we are saved. Romans 10:9. We pray that your former landlord will come to that saving faith, that he will believe that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16.

We join you in declaring victory over this rented apartment situation. We pray that any bitterness, strife, or hurt between you and your former landlord will be healed by the peace of Christ, and that the Lord will guide him on his life's journey with grace and truth. We are encouraged that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. We trust in that patience and love now for this man.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this landlord before You. We ask that You draw him by Your Holy Spirit, convict him of sin and of righteousness, and reveal to him the greatness and power of Your Son. Let Your light expel all darkness and every unclean influence from his life. Grant him ears to hear Your voice, a heart to surrender, and the courage to lose his life for Jesus so that he may find eternal life. Pour out Your mercy and grace upon him, lead him into Your holy plan, and let him experience Your love and faithfulness. We thank You that no one can withstand Your mighty power and that You desire all to be saved. We pray for continued peace and restoration regarding the apartment matter, and that Your will be done in both lives for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We were encouraged to see your heart for your former landlord, wanting him to know Jesus and to hear God's leading for his life. It is a loving thing to carry someone else before the Lord like this, even after the rental relationship has ended.

We join you in asking God to draw him toward Himself. We do not know what is going on in his life right now, but God does, and He is patient and merciful as He works in each person's journey. Continuing to lift him by name in prayer is a faithful way to love him from a distance, entrusting him to the Lord while leaving the outcome in God's hands.

If you still have any occasional contact, a simple, respectful kindness can also speak quietly of Christ's love without needing many words.

We pray for you as well, that any lingering stress from the apartment situation would settle and that you would have peace as you move forward.

Father, we lift this landlord to You and ask that You would make Yourself known to him, that he would turn to Jesus and find life in Him. Give him ears to hear Your voice and wisdom for his next steps, and guide him according to Your holy plan. We ask for Your mercy and grace over him, and for peace for our friend who is praying for him. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a right and gracious burden you carry to bring this former landlord before the throne of grace, and your prayer is according to the mind of Christ. Our Lord has said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is no other way of saving the life but by losing it for His sake.

The Truth of God's salvation is not a temporary work and it is not a mere notion. It operates most powerfully upon the mind because it is real. If we have laid hold of it we believe in a real Fall, and know ourselves to be real transgressors who need a Savior. We believe also in a real Atonement, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission, and we receive a real pardon. That pardon is not a pretense but a true forgiveness wrought by the blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, which cleanses us from all sin. Wherever we see Jesus by faith we see God's Salvation itself, not merely the Worker of salvation but the Salvation. No salvation will serve our turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. This is salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, by simply trusting Him who was laid in Zion for a foundation.

To lose his life for Christ is to come to unconditional surrender. This is submission to God, the true surrender of every proud pretension. Many remain in trouble only because they will not yield to the divine will. To be saved the soul must submit itself to God's way of saving, which is by His grace, not by our merits, by the blood of Jesus, not by our tears and sufferings. May this man be brought to say, Lord God, I own thee now to be King, and to trust Christ alone as the sinner's Savior. That is cheap faith which takes Christ only as the saints' Savior, but saving faith takes Him as able to save the chief of sinners.

You speak of a landlord and a rented apartment, and Scripture reminds us that we are all tenants under a Great Landlord. There is a clause in the lease which some have never observed, namely, that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and leave His own property. We live on sufferance as His tenants, and at any moment we may be called to surrender possession and give up the key. The question for every man is, if at this moment he had to surrender, is everything ordered as he would wish it to be. May this landlord be led to cheerfully offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord, that wherever the Lord looks He may see the remembrances of His own grace and the marks of His own workmanship.

You also ask that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power. It is a blessed thing to put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. There are none so deaf as those who will not hear, who deliberately close their ears to holy exhortation, yet the Lord still speaks by His Spirit, often in a still small voice, calling men to obey the inward monitor and prepare to meet their God. May the Lord open his ears that he may be warned by the threatenings, cheered by the promises, and feel the power of the Word unto life and salvation.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus, who reigns over all darkness and whose light expels it, we come in Your name and plead Your mercy for this man. Convict him of his real need as a sinner and reveal to him Your real atonement made upon the cross. Grant him grace to lose his life for Your sake, to surrender unconditionally to Your Lordship, and to trust alone in Your blood for a real pardon. Give him ears to hear Your voice speaking in Your Word, that he may turn from his own way and follow Your holy plan for his life as revealed in Your commandments and promises. Save him, O God, with Your salvation, that he may not lose his life in eternity but keep it unto everlasting life. We ask this not by merit but by Your grace alone, for Your glory. Amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the Lord and agree with you in prayer according to His word.

The Lord Jesus said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. We pray that this man will hear this word with a careful and willing heart, and that today, while it is still called the day of salvation, he will turn from seeking to save his own life and will give his life fully to Jesus Christ, trusting in Him alone for salvation. There is no other name by which we are saved, and we ask that the light of Christ would expel all darkness and that the power of the gospel would be made known to him.

We also pray that he will hear the voice of the Lord. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, so we ask that God would bring His word near to him, open his ears to hear it, and give him grace not only to hear but to do what he hears. May God guide him into His holy plan for his life, grant him repentance and faith, and lead him in the way of fortitude and holiness.
