Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join with you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace and we thank you for your heart to see him come to salvation in Jesus Christ. Your prayer based on Luke 9:24 is faithful and true, for whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Luke 9:24. We agree with you that the greatest need any person has is to surrender his life fully to our Lord Jesus, for there is no other way to be saved.

We also stand with you in declaring the power of Jesus over all darkness. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5. He has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. Colossians 1:13. We pray that any influence of darkness or confusion over this man will be expelled by the light of Christ, and that he will be drawn out of darkness into His marvelous light. Jesus said, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You with thanksgiving for Your love and faithfulness. We lift up this former landlord to You and ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, open his eyes to see that without You he will lose his life, but in losing his life for Jesus he will truly save it. Grant him repentance and faith, that if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, he will be saved. Romans 10:9. We know You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4, and You are not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. We ask that You soften his heart, remove any hardness or blindness, and draw him by Your Holy Spirit to the cross where there is forgiveness of sins, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

We also pray that he will learn to hear Your voice and discern Your holy plan for his life. Your word says My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. Lead him to Your word so he may be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. We ask that You reveal to him that he is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared before that he would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10, and that You have plans for him for welfare and not for evil, to give him hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We pray for healing and restoration over this rented apartment situation and over any hurt or tension that remains between you. Help us to walk in forgiveness and love, and to be a witness of Your greatness and power to this man, so that he may see Christ in us. We thank You that no one can withstand Your mighty power and that Your grace is sufficient. We trust You to guide this man on his life's journey into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing your former landlord before the Lord in this way. It says a lot that even after the rental season has ended, your heart is for his good and for him to know Jesus and find God's direction for his life.

We hear your longing for him to truly hear God's voice and to experience the life that comes through surrender to Christ. Salvation is God's gracious gift, and it changes not only our future but how we walk day by day. We can bring someone we care about to the Lord in prayer and trust Him to work in that person's heart in His own timing and way, even when we can't see what is happening.

If the apartment situation carried any stress or loose ends, it can help to keep your prayers simple and steady, entrusting both the landlord and the whole matter to God and leaving the outcome with Him. Continuing to live quietly and kindly before Him is its own witness if your paths cross again.

Father, we bring this former landlord before You. We ask You to draw him to Yourself, to open his heart to Jesus and give him ears to hear Your leading for his life. Guide him in Your mercy and grace, and bring Your peace to this rental situation as well. We thank You that You reign with love and faithfulness and that You hear us when we pray. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, pleading the truth of God's salvation on his behalf.

The word you have laid hold of is a faithful and searching word, for our Lord Himself has said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is a real Fall and therefore a real need, and there is a real Atonement in the precious blood of Christ and therefore a real hope. No other salvation will serve his turn but that which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding, and it is to be had only by looking to Jesus and trusting Him alone, for by His stripes we are healed.

Let us pray together for him.

O Lord our God, our great Landlord from whom every good tenancy and every mercy comes, we thank You that You reign over the darkness and Your light expels it, and that You daily load us with benefits and preserve us that Your goodness might lead us to repentance. We bring before You this man who once held authority over this dwelling, and we ask Your mercy and grace upon his soul. Convince him of his sinnership, that he may see there is truth in his need and therefore truth in Christ's salvation. Show him that to save his life by holding it for himself is to lose it, and that to lose his life for Your Son is to save it unto everlasting life.

Bring him, we pray, to unconditional surrender, to own You now to be King and to say from the heart, Lord God, I yield as reason and grace suggest. May he hear Your voice, not as a distant sound, but as You speak through Your Word and by Your Spirit, that still small voice which bids a man set his house in order and prepare to meet his God. Open the doors of his heart to Your inspection, grant him to delight in heavenly communion and to invite the Lord Jesus to come in and sup with him.

We ask that his eyes may see Your salvation, for wherever our eyes spiritually light upon Christ, there we see God's salvation. Enable him simply to look to Jesus, to trust himself wholly and entirely in the hands of Christ, and so to be saved. Let him hear and obey Your holy plan for his life, walking in the order You have revealed, and finding that Your salvation is real in its constancy, able to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Jesus Christ.

We declare no power of our own, but we plead the victory of Christ and ask Your healing power to guide this man in the way everlasting. Let all who know of this matter see Your greatness and power, and let this soul be added to those who shall wing their triumphant way to realms of everlasting day, because Jesus Christ has become to him God's salvation.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is the way, the truth and the life, and in whose name alone we must be saved. Amen.
