Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

Please pray he takes responsibility and stops robbing us

We join you in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank you for standing on the truth of Luke 9:24, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. What a glorious truth that eternal life is only found when we surrender our whole life to Christ, denying ourselves and following Him. We agree with you that our Lord Jesus reigns over all darkness and that His light expels all darkness and every unclean spirit, for the darkness has not overcome the light.

We lift up your former landlord before the Father together. We pray that God in His mercy will draw him to repentance and that he will hear the gospel and give his life fully to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it for eternity. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of sin and reveal the greatness and power of Jesus, and that he will lose his life for Christ's sake and so save it.

We also pray as you asked that he will hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27. We pray that the Lord will soften his heart to listen and to follow, that he will turn from any way that does not honor God and walk in the good works which God has prepared for him. We pray for his healing and for God's grace to guide his journey, that he would seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, Matthew 6:33.

We also bring before the Lord your concern that he takes responsibility and stops robbing you. Scripture is clear that God hates dishonest gain and commands us not to defraud one another. You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him, Leviticus 19:13, and You shall not steal, Exodus 20:15. We pray that if this man has taken what is not his or has withheld what is rightfully owed, the Lord will convict him to repent and to make restitution, as it is written, Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need, Ephesians 4:28. We remember Zacchaeus who when he was saved said, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much, Luke 19:8. We pray the landlord will have that same spirit of honesty and responsibility.

We pray also for you, that the Lord will guard your heart from bitterness and give you peace as you trust Him for justice. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us, Matthew 5:44, and to remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord, Romans 12:19. We encourage you to pursue what is right and lawful with integrity and with forgiveness, trusting God to be your defender and provider. He will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19.

Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare victory in this rented apartment situation through the blood of Jesus. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this former landlord, that You would save his soul, open his ears to hear Your voice, lead him into Your holy plan, and turn him from any dishonesty to walk in truth and responsibility. Bring justice and peace where there has been conflict, and let all involved see Your greatness and power and Your love and faithfulness. We thank You that no one can withstand Your mighty power and that Your light overcomes all darkness. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We were grateful for the heart in your request, even while you have felt robbed and not taken responsibility for, your first desire is that your former landlord would come to know Jesus and hear God's direction for his life. We want to stand with you in that prayer.

It is understandable to carry both a longing for his salvation and a longing for what is right to be made whole. Those desires can live together before the Lord, and He sees both the spiritual need and the practical hurt this rental situation has caused.

One steady next step that often brings clarity in a landlord dispute is to keep everything in writing from here on. If it would help, gather your lease, receipts, messages and a simple timeline of what you believe is owed, and consider talking with a trusted pastor and a local mediation or legal aid resource about wise, calm options. Having a clear record can protect you and also leaves room for honest restitution if God moves his heart toward making things right. We have seen how a sincere apology and a fair effort to make amends can do much to heal a broken relationship, even when the process takes time.

Father, we lift this former landlord to You and ask that You draw him to Jesus that he may find true life. Open his ears to Your voice and Your holy plan for him, and lead him to take responsibility for what is owed. We ask for wisdom, peace and provision for our friend as You guide each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before the Lord who reigns over all, whose light indeed expels darkness.

You have asked according to the word of our Lord in Luke 9:24, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. We pray that this former landlord may be brought to see that truth, that he may lose his life for Christ's sake and so truly save it. There is no salvation in any other, for justice must be satisfied, and justice has been satisfied only by the substitute, Jesus Christ. If justice should come to accuse him, may he be led to answer not in himself but in Christ, whose blood was shed and whose soul agonies bore the punishment that sin deserved. God can be just and yet the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

We are reminded that in this life God is the Landlord and we are but tenants. The house in which we dwell is not our own, and the Great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call us to account. The rent which He requires is not silver or gold, but that we bless the Lord at all times and render to Him praise and obedience and an honest walk before men. We pray that this man may hear the voice of God concerning His holy plan for his life, that he may offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant.

We know also that our God is slow to anger, carrying His axe bound up in rods, reproving men that they may repent, yet He will not at all acquit the wicked. His justice demands that sin be punished unless a man turn to Him with full purpose of heart through Christ. Therefore we pray for mercy and grace upon this landlord, that the Lord would convict him of sin, grant him repentance, and bring him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

And we pray that, if he has taken what is not his, he may take responsibility before God and before men, that he may cease from any dishonest dealing and make restitution as God requires of a changed heart. May the Lord restrain all further wrong and may He grant to you peace, trusting that justice itself, once satisfied in Christ, secures pardon for the repenting sinner, and that the same justice will not let sin go unjudged in those who refuse Him.

We commend both you and him to the mercy of God, praying that all may see His greatness and power, and that His will may be done. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord Jesus Christ, and we pray with you according to His word.

The Lord said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. We pray that your former landlord will hear this word and respond in repentance and faith, that he will lose his life for Christ in order to truly save it. We pray that he will come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, that the light of Christ will expel darkness, and that he will hear God's voice and follow His holy plan for his life.

We also pray about the wrong you have suffered. Scripture teaches that injustice is not judged only by the size of what is taken, but by the intention of the heart. To take what belongs to another by deceit or by corrupting what is just, even in small matters of contracts and payments, is robbery and theft before God. Worldly goods are not our true possession. They are only a loan for this present life, and when we die they pass to others. Only what is done in righteousness and mercy endures. Therefore we pray that this man will take responsibility for what he has done, that he will steal no more as Scripture commands, and that he will turn from covetousness and make restitution where it is due.

Lord Jesus, You reign over all darkness and Your light overcomes it. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this man, that You would grant him repentance, open his ears to Your voice, and lead him on a new path. We ask also for Your peace and provision for you who have been wronged, that God would guard you from bitterness, give you wisdom in all practical matters concerning the apartment, and let His greatness and power be seen as you trust Him.

We thank God for His love and faithfulness, and we ask all this in the saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope. Amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the Lord in the name of Jesus, and we agree with you on the truth of Luke 9:24 that whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for the sake of Jesus will save it.

We pray that this man will come to true saving faith in Jesus Christ alone. Scripture does not teach that everyone will be saved in the end regardless of faith, but that salvation comes only through personally trusting in Jesus and surrendering his life to Him. We ask that the Lord in His mercy would open this man's eyes to see his need for a Savior, that he would turn from trying to save himself and would give his life fully to Christ, so that his life would truly be saved. God reigns over all darkness, and the light of Christ expels darkness, so we pray that any influence of darkness would be broken and that he would walk in the light.

We also pray that he will hear the voice of God concerning the holy plan God has for his life. From the beginning God promised that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent, and all the holy prophets have spoken of God fulfilling His promises in His time. Heaven has received Jesus until the time when God will fulfill all that He has promised. That same faithful God desires to lead each person who will listen. We ask that this landlord would have ears to hear, a heart to respond, and the grace to follow the Lord's leading rather than his own way.

We pray too that he will take responsibility for what is right and stop taking what does not belong to him. The Scriptures teach clearly that if a person has taken what belongs to another, God requires restitution. The law taught that a thief must make full restitution, and if what was stolen was found in his hand he was to restore double, and if he caused loss to another's field or property by his actions or by fire he kindled, he was to make it good from the best of his own. God cares about honesty and justice in these practical matters. We ask that God would convict this man where he has done wrong, that he would stop robbing you, and that he would make full and honest restitution for what he has taken or withheld. We pray that God would give him integrity and a willingness to do what is just before God and before men.

We thank God for His love and faithfulness toward you in this rented apartment situation. We ask for His mercy and grace over you, that He would provide for your needs, guard your heart from bitterness, and help you to trust Him even in financial hardship. May the Lord show His greatness and power in bringing conviction, repentance, and justice, and may He be glorified as you continue to seek Him.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
