We hear your heart's cry for forgiveness and for reconciliation, and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord together.
We understand you are carrying a burden over something you have done and you long for this person to forgive you and to reach out today. The desire for forgiveness is good and pleasing to God, for He Himself is a forgiving God. As it is written, For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. Psalm 86:5. And also, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. We encourage you first to make sure you have confessed fully to God what you have done wrong, with a repentant heart that turns away from that sin, and receive His forgiveness through Christ.
We also want to gently encourage you about how we approach God. You prayed to the Lord, which is good, but we notice you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share lovingly that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And also, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and are heard.
Regarding your desire to hear from her today by text or call, we understand the urgency and longing you feel, but we also encourage you to trust God's sovereignty and timing rather than placing a demand on Him for a specific outcome today. God calls us to forgive and to seek forgiveness, as it is written, And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32, and bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Colossians 3:13. Yet forgiveness from another person cannot be forced, and we must respect her freedom and God's will for her heart. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15. We encourage you to humbly take responsibility for what you have done, to ask her forgiveness without expectation or pressure, and to give her space to respond as the Lord leads her.
If this is a romantic relationship, we want to encourage you to consider it in light of God's design. We believe courtship should be with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, honoring purity and seeking God's will together. If you are pursuing this woman, we pray that your relationship would be one that honors God, that any wrongdoing be made right, and that both of you would seek to glorify Him. If there has been sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we lovingly rebuke that as fornication which God calls us to turn from, and we encourage you to pursue holiness and self control as you seek a godly marriage if it is His will.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your mercy and grace upon our brother. Lord, we ask that you forgive him as he confesses his sin to you, cleanse him and draw him closer to you. We pray that you would soften the heart of this woman and, if it is your will, bring healing and reconciliation between them. Give him patience and humility to wait on your timing and not his own, and help him to trust your perfect will whether she contacts him today or in your appointed time. We pray that if this relationship is to continue, it would be centered on you, pursuing holiness and with marriage as the goal, honoring you in all things. Give them both wisdom, peace, and a spirit of forgiveness as you have forgiven us in Christ. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and that is the first and best news for a trembling heart that desires to be forgiven. The Lord himself says, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is a divine forgiveness, surprising forgiveness, complete forgiveness. Were all men to hiss at you and wish you gone, yet if God forgives you, you may enter heaven, for his forgiveness is not stinted or partial. When a man trusts Christ and is forgiven, his sin is so entirely gone that it is as though it had never been. There is forgiveness with him, and there is forgiveness now, at this moment, for the chief of sinners through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.
Your prayer that another would forgive you is natural and right to feel, for we ought to desire our fellow creatures forgiveness and to be reconciled where we have done wrong. Yet remember who it is that sends the forgiveness. The forgiveness you need most is not first from man but from God, through Jesus Christ his Son. Do you tremble and shake for fear, and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness. Then go straight away to Christ and lay hold on him, just as you are, whatever your condition may be. Believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, not as a hopeful whisper but as a full, distinct, emphatic assurance, that there is forgiveness with God, broad and unlimited, with no abridging or qualifying words, and that he not only forgave at the first all our sins, but continues daily to forgive, for his forgiveness is eternal.
And as you have received such great forgiveness, so you are called to seek it from others in a Christlike way. The pattern set before us is, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. This is a joint work of mutual forgiveness, and it is gloriously ennobling, while revenge is paltry. If you have wronged this dear one, let your repentance be sincere and humble. Do not try to restore your own soul by your own processes, nor seek to compel a response today by your own urgency. True repentance bears fruit in patience, in truth, in respecting the other person, and in leaving the outcome in the hands of God who brings down the heart with labor and lifts it in his own time.
I will pray for you, not that God would simply grant a text or a call at your bidding, but that he would first grant you the sure knowledge of his own pardon in Christ, that he would work genuine repentance and healing in you, and that if reconciliation is according to his holy will and wisdom, he would bring it about in a way that honors him and pursues purity, truth and holiness. If this relationship has in any way departed from the Lord's design for lifelong covenant love between one man and one woman, with all intimacy kept within that covenant, pray that he would cleanse it, correct it, and conform it to his Word, or give you grace to walk apart as he commands.
May the Lord restore your soul and keep you near the place where forgiveness is found, which is with God himself. Seek him now, confess your sin plainly, trust the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and wait upon him with quiet hope. He is ready to restore you now, and his mercy is great enough even for you.

Your prayer for forgiveness has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.
The desire to be forgiven is itself a good and humbling thing. Scripture teaches us that God has made a way for reconciliation when we were still enemies. He did not merely appoint another to help us, but in Christ He Himself became our High Priest to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. That is the good news, the removal of punishment and the remission of sins, and the gift of righteousness and adoption through His mercy. When we understand how great that forgiveness is, we learn to be grateful and to walk in gentleness toward others.
We pray with you first for your own heart before God. Tell Him plainly where you have sinned, without hiding or excusing it, so that you may know the greatness of His grace and give thanks rightly. Ask Him to train you in a humble and gentle spirit, not exalting yourself, but recognizing that even when we have done all we should, we still stand in need of His mercy. That humility prepares us to seek forgiveness from others in the right way.
We also pray for the one who you hope will forgive you. We ask God to give her a gracious and understanding heart, and to bring healing where there has been hurt. We pray that if it is according to His wise and loving will, He would open a door for communication today, whether by text or call, and that any conversation would be marked by honesty, kindness, and respect. More than a quick reply, we ask for true peace and restoration that honors God.
Continue to seek the Lord, to trust His timing, and to leave the outcome in His hands. He knows what is best for both of you and He works for the good of those who love Him. May He grant you forgiveness, cleanse your conscience, and give you patience to wait on Him and grace to act in love toward others.
