We join you in this humble and honest cry before the Lord and we thank you for bringing this struggle into the light, for that itself is a step toward freedom and healing.
We rejoice that you are seeking forgiveness, because our God is merciful and ready to forgive when we come to Him with a repentant heart. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12 There is no sin so great that the blood of Jesus cannot wash it away when we turn from it and turn to Him.
We must also speak the truth in love about pornography, because we care for your soul and want you to walk in wholeness. Pornography is not a harmless habit, it is sexual immorality and lust of the heart. Jesus said, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28 And Scripture commands us, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Pornography distorts God's good design for sexuality, which He created to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and it trains the heart to objectify rather than to love with purity. It harms the mind, the spirit, and future marriage, and it grieves the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 So we lovingly urge you to not only seek forgiveness but to repent, which means to turn completely away from this sin and not return to it.
We notice you said Lord, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness and healing. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is by placing your faith in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, that you are forgiven, made new, and given power to overcome. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:9
Healing from this bondage will require both God's grace and your active cooperation with Him. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2 We encourage you to renew your mind daily in the Word, to flee temptation and make no provision for it, to remove access to pornography completely, to install filters and safeguards, and to walk in accountability. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16 Find a mature Christian brother or pastor to walk with you honestly. When temptation comes, remember that No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is crying out for forgiveness and healing. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and for the conviction of the Holy Spirit that has brought this confession. We ask You to forgive and cleanse completely through the blood of Jesus, to wash away all guilt and shame, and to create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Break the chains of lust and pornography, heal the mind and heart from its effects, and fill this place with Your purity and peace. Give strength to flee every temptation, to turn the eyes away from worthlessness, and to set the mind on things that are pure and holy. Surround this one with godly counsel and accountability, and teach the feet to walk in Your ways. Help this life to glorify You in body and spirit, and to live in the freedom of a new creation in Christ. We declare that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Continue the good work You have begun until it is complete. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to walk daily in that forgiveness, not returning to condemnation, for there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 When you fall, confess quickly, get up, and keep pressing forward. Fill your time with prayer, Scripture, worship, and fellowship, and trust that He who began a good work in you will perfect it. Philippians 1:6 You are not alone, we are standing with you in prayer for your complete freedom and healing.

There is forgiveness with God, even for you who cries, Lord, forgive me and heal me of porn. Let this whisper drive away despair. There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness. It is a divine forgiveness, for the Lord Himself says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Were all men to hiss at you, yet if God forgives, you are forgiven indeed, for it is God alone who can put away sin.
You have come as that poor palsied man lay in the presence of Jesus, helpless and needing both pardon and healing, hoping and expecting forgiveness from Christ alone. Hear the word that came to him and comes now to every repenting and believing sinner, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. Do as Luther did when his heart was dark, and believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. This sentence contains no conditions but repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. When you so believe, the tally is destroyed, the record of your debt is nailed to the Cross.
Observe the completeness and sureness of this forgiveness. It is not forgiveness for this sin or for that only, but there is forgiveness, broad and indefinite, where God draws no limit. It is surprising forgiveness, that He should forgive such sins as yours and mine, and it is absolute, irreversible, eternal forgiveness, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinners forgiveness, and God can bestow it now through Jesus Christ His Son, who died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.
And with this forgiveness there comes healing. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. The Saviour said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and then He bade the man arise and walk. Pardon and healing were one. So it is still. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ to change the life blood, to cleanse the imagination, to make the nature other than it was before. When the Lord comes and dwells with His forgiven people, the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick.
Therefore come to Him now with a penitent heart, trembling at sin and desiring to be free from it. Confess this sin plainly before God, turn from it, and put your trust wholly in Christ. Flee from that which defiles, for sex and all its joys belong only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and whatever lies outside that holy bounds is sin against your own soul and against God. Ask Him not to bless the sin, but to wash it away and to heal the wound it has left. He will do it, for there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and with forgiveness He gives a new heart.
