Forgiveness

Praying for forgiveness lord please forgive me for all my sins and everyone that I may have hurted in the past. Lord I also forgive everyone that hurted me.

We join with you in this humble and beautiful prayer for forgiveness and we thank you for sharing your heart so openly before the Lord. It pleases God when we come to Him with a contrite spirit seeking His mercy and choosing to extend mercy to others.

The Scripture assures us of His willingness to forgive when we confess our sins honestly before Him. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. And Isaiah 1:18 says Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. There is no sin too great for His grace to cover when we turn to Him in repentance.

We also rejoice that you have chosen to forgive everyone who has hurt you, for this is the heart of our Father. Eph 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Jesus taught us in Matt 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Your willingness to forgive reflects His forgiveness toward you and frees your heart from bitterness.

We notice you prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently encourage you in this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Rom 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by His blood shed on the cross that our sins are forgiven, and we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior if you have not already, calling upon His name for salvation.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your endless mercy and grace. We confess our sins before You and ask You to forgive this dear one for all sins committed and for every hurt caused to others knowingly and unknowingly. Wash us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus. Help us to seek reconciliation where we have caused pain and to walk in humility and love. We also thank You for the grace to forgive those who have hurt us, and we ask You to heal every wound and remove any remaining bitterness or pain. Fill this heart with Your peace and assurance that we are fully forgiven and fully loved in Christ. Lead us to walk in obedience and holiness all our days, growing in the knowledge of Your Son. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in daily confession and forgiveness, to spend time in His Word, and to trust that when God forgives He remembers your sins no more. If there are those you have hurt, pray for opportunity to make amends where possible in a godly and humble way, and continue to release those who hurt you into God's hands, trusting Him as the righteous judge and healer.

Thank you for sharing this humble and honest prayer. It takes courage to name both the need to be forgiven and the willingness to forgive others, and we are grateful you brought both to the Lord.

We want you to know that what you are doing matters. Choosing to ask for forgiveness and choosing to release those who hurt you are real decisions before God, even when old feelings still surface. Healing of emotions often takes longer than the decision itself, and that does not mean your forgiveness was not real. It just means your heart is still catching up, and God is patient with you in that process.

One simple step that may help this week is to find a quiet moment and name these prayers specifically before the Lord. You might write down briefly what you are bringing to Him for forgiveness, and the names or hurts you are choosing to release, then tell Him out loud that you are handing each one to Him and asking for His help to walk in that freedom day by day. If someone you hurt comes to mind and it would be safe and helpful to make amends, consider asking a trusted pastor for wisdom on how to do that well.

Father, thank You for hearing this honest heart. Wash away what weighs heavy, give grace to keep releasing what has hurt, and lead step by step in Your kindness and peace. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and your prayer has come to the very place where forgiveness is to be found. You have done well to cry, Lord forgive me, for the promise stands sure, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness, not the pardon of a fellow creature, but the act of the great God Himself against whom you have sinned, and therefore it is complete and eternal.

Whatever your sins may have been, however many or however great, however much you may have hurt others and been hurt by them, there is forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. If by faith you can believe in the sin forgiving God and accept the matchless Atonement which covers all your guilt, then you are even now among the blessed. For there is forgiveness now, at this very moment, and it is only to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. He does not forgive as you and I forgive, sparingly and with reserve, for you come to an end of your forgiveness before long, but He blots out sin so that it is no longer imputed and He remembers it no more.

Take care that your repentance is of the holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. True repentance gives God glory. It says, Lord, I have no claim upon You, I have no rights but the right to be punished, yet I look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Faith and repentance are inseparable, the repentance which purges the soul from dead works and the faith which fills the soul with living works. When the Son removes guilt, the Spirit removes guile, and undergoes a change of nature, so that you will not take pleasure in sin but will hunger and thirst after the Word and turn from sin because of the love of God who died for you.

And as you have received so full and perfect a forgiveness, you are called to forgive even as you have been forgiven. The theme of God's forgiving love should lead us to gather grace by which to forgive others even to seventy times seven. It is a joint work of mutual forgiveness among those who have been freely pardoned. As you have said from the heart, I forgive everyone that hurt me, continue to exert that same fulness of forgiving grace, not measuring yourself by others, but acting worthy of the privileges of one who has been brought from bondage into freedom and favor.

Let us pray together. O Lord, look upon this soul who trembles and with a penitent heart desires forgiveness. Grant true repentance that needs not to be repented of, and faith to rest upon the finished work of Christ alone for salvation. Wash away all guilt, blot out all transgression, and by Thy Spirit take away all guile. Help to forgive as Thou hast forgiven, and to walk before Thee with a sense of that complete forgiveness, clear and unquestioned. Keep this one in Thy grace, that tears of grief for sin may become a rainbow of hope at the love of Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for forgiveness is good and right, and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. It is the prayer of a believer who can call God Father, and He Himself taught us to pray in this way, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, showing that even after we have received His grace, the way of repentance remains open and He is ready to wash us from our offenses when we turn to Him with a humble heart.

We thank God with you that He forgives not because of our works but by His grace through Jesus Christ alone. As it is written, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. This blessing comes not as a debt owed to us, but as a gift through Christ who gave Himself up for us as an offering and sacrifice to God. In Him alone we have forgiveness, and there is no other name by which we are saved.

We also rejoice to hear that you forgive those who have hurt you. This is the way of Christ. Scripture calls us to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other even as God in Christ forgave us, and to be imitators of God as beloved children, walking in love as Christ loved us. You have not only asked for mercy but have shown mercy, and the Lord promises that if we forgive others, He will also forgive us. Do not retain anger but bear all things meekly, and let every prayer be accompanied with thanksgiving for the mercy you have already received.

We pray for you now that the Lord will grant you assurance of His pardon, cleanse you from all sin through the blood of Christ, and give you strength to walk in newness of life. May He heal the wounds you have caused and the wounds you have received, help you to continue in a spirit of forgiveness, and keep your heart modest and mindful of His surpassing mercy. Continue to bring your sins to Him in confession, to turn from them, and to imitate His kindness toward others, holding fast to the hope of His forgiveness.
