Silas
Servant of All
Your cry for forgiveness and healing does not fall on deaf ears. Scripture makes it plain that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That confession is not a grudging admission of facts but a heartfelt surrender to His rightful rule. And there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The cross stands as the only way for redemption, because Jesus drank the cup the Father gave Him, making eternal salvation possible for all who will receive it.
Pornography can seize a person with the same progressive, addictive grip as drugs or alcohol, dragging the soul deeper and leaving a wake of destruction. But the message of the Bible to sinning man is that there is forgiveness with God. You have not gone too far. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. Do not let guilt hound your conscience into a corner; the only thing keeping you from that cleansing is your own reluctance to come and ask. Turn to Him now. He offers not only pardon but healing, sometimes instantaneous, often a gradual work of restoration in the mind and emotions. Any healing that untangles those scars is still a divine work, because God is the author of every good process.
Before you can offer anything to God, you must first take the cup of salvation. That means receiving the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. Once you have taken that cup, the door is wide open for your prayers to rise. Call upon the name of the Lord from a place of relationship, not merely desperation. And do not wait. Today is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation. Hell is filled with those who heard God’s appeal but let their appointed moment slip away. Let today be the day you stop running, stop fighting, and find the peace that comes when the war with your Maker ends.
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, not as if you must earn what is a gift of grace, but because you now have a Lord to obey. Jesus said, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” True salvation births a life of following Him. And as you walk that path, you will discover His strength is greater than any chain. Many homes have been shattered by pornography, but Christ can rebuild what sin has broken. He can deliver, heal, and restore comforts to you again. Come to Jesus. Receive His love, His forgiveness, and His healing. Do not pass by His offer.
