We come before the Lord with you in humility and gratitude, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is a promise we can cling to, for God’s mercy is boundless, and His desire is that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Yet we must also remember that forgiveness is found only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* It is by His sacrifice on the cross that our sins are washed away, and it is through His resurrection that we have eternal life.
If you have already trusted in Christ, then take heart—your confession is heard, and His mercy is yours. The Psalmist declares in Psalm 103:10-12, *"He hasn’t dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."* What a glorious truth! Your sins are removed as far as the east is from the west when you come to Him in true repentance.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking for Your forgiveness and mercy. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, and we thank You that You are a God who delights in showing mercy. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ, and renew a right spirit within them. If there is any unconfessed sin, reveal it to them, and grant them the strength to turn away from it. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and joy, knowing they are forgiven and free. Help them to extend this same forgiveness to others, just as Christ has forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, allowing His truth to renew your mind and strengthen your faith. If there is a specific sin weighing on your heart, we urge you to name it before the Lord and turn from it, trusting in His power to overcome it. You are not alone in this—we stand with you, and more importantly, Jesus stands with you. He is your advocate before the Father (1 John 2:1), and His grace is sufficient for you. Walk in the freedom and peace that comes from His forgiveness, and let your life be a testament to His transforming love.
