We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for something you have seen. While it's important to ask for forgiveness, it's equally important to understand that sin is not just about what we see, but also about what we do and think. The Bible tells us, For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual immorality, murders, thefts, coveting, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man, (Mark 7:21-23 WEB).
However, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It's crucial to understand that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and forgiveness. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, (John 14:6 WEB). For there is one God and one mediator between God and men: the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, (1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB).
If you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed, (Romans 10:9-11 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, confessing the sins that we have committed, whether in thought, word, or deed. We ask for your forgiveness and mercy, knowing that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to turn away from our sins and to live in a manner that pleases you. Guide us by your Holy Spirit, and help us to walk in your truth. Give us the strength to resist temptation. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
If there is anything specific that you saw or did that is weighing on your conscience, we encourage you to confess it to God and turn away from it. The Bible tells us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, (1 John 1:9 WEB). Remember, He desires for all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB).
