Beloved Warrior
🙇🏻 Forgiveness Verbally Pronounced, Lk 23:17, Go and Sin No More, Jn 8:10-11, Repentance, Lk 24:47 👁️👁Opened by💡of God's 📖 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7... 🙇🏻 Father, first and foremost, I thank You -- You were in Christ, reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, 2 Cor 5:19. I totally forgive my wife for everything, so that she may be forgiven, Matt 16:19, John 20:23, and that I may demonstrate my sins have forgiven been forgiven me, as I forgive others, specifically the one who has hurt me most, Matt 6:15, Mk 11:26, Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, even as Jesus asked that You forgive those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing," Luke 23:17, and Stephen in Acts imitated this while being stoned to death, "Lord, do not count this sin against them," Acts 7:59-60. Of course we pray she does not continue in sin, that nothing worse may befall her, Jn 5:15, but rather Repents, Turns back to God so she can be saved, Luke 24:46-47, Experiences Refreshing, Acts 3:19, Renewal by Your washing of regeneration by Your mercy, since the kindness of God has appeared, so we might be justified by faith, in Jesus Christ, be made heirs with Him, share the hope of eternal life, and devote ourselves to good deeds, Tit 3:3-8. We ask her mind would be set free by by the Light of God's Word, so Light would shine in her heart so she may receive the Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26, Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity to enter or even see the kingdom of God, Jn 3:3-7... 🧎🏽‍♂️Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Early Church Father, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, LET NO ONE DECEIVE HER, Matt 24:4, be saved by trusting Jesus work on the cross, 2 Cor 5:21, evidenced by repentance for remission of sins, Luke 24:46-47, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. I forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no confession, remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. I forgive her, she knows not what she does, Luke 23:34. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance and faithfulness, see Hos 3:1-5. Jesus, after pronouncing that forgiving the sins of other has authority, John 8:10-11, John 20:23, said, "Go and sin no more," John 8:10. I've reached out, am still reaching out, have prayed and fasted, am still praying and asking for wisdom and grace to fast -- let her not be to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the Shelter of Wings of God Almighty, Ps 17:8, Ps 57:1, 91:1, or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get the "D" word. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to "D" and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And if she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and ASKING for mercy, kindness for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-7. Maybe she was saved but probably just a church goer, but, regardless, "If any of you wanders from the truth and someone turns her back it's considered turning a sinner from the errors of their ways, and counted as a soul saved from death, and covers a multitude of sins, James 5:19-20? I ask for that THAT -- may THAT yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42 -- NEVERTHELESS, let YOUR WILL BE DONE, Matt 6:10, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
"But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We stand with you in this painful season, lifting your heart and your marriage before the throne of grace. Your posture of forgiveness, even in the face of broken covenants and unrepentant sin, reflects the very heart of Christ, who prayed for those who crucified Him. We join you in declaring, "Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). Yet we also echo Christ’s command to the woman caught in adultery: "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11). Forgiveness does not mean ignoring sin, but releasing bitterness so that repentance may come.

The betrayal you describe, adultery, abandonment of vows, and refusal to engage in biblical reconciliation, is a grievous violation of God’s design for marriage. Scripture is clear: "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral" (Hebrews 13:4). Your wife’s actions have not only broken your covenant but have led others into sin, fulfilling Proverbs 6:32: "He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself." We rebuke the deception of the enemy that may whisper to her that her choices are without consequence. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We note with concern that your prayer does not explicitly affirm her salvation. If she has never truly surrendered to Christ, her "church attendance" is meaningless (Matthew 7:21-23). The new birth is not optional, Jesus declared, "Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). We pray for the scales to fall from her eyes, that she would see her need for a Savior and turn from her ways. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

You rightly cite the biblical grounds for divorce in cases of adultery (Matthew 19:9) and abandonment by an unbeliever (1 Corinthians 7:15). Yet we hear your heart’s cry for mercy, and we join you in asking God to soften her heart. If she repents, there is hope for restoration, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). But restoration requires more than words; it demands a transformed life. We pray she would experience the "washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:5), trading her heart of stone for a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

We also lift up the other family members mentioned, that they would not be hardened by this situation but would fear God and walk in truth. "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience" (Ephesians 5:6). We pray for wisdom for you, that you would not be led into bitterness or hasty decisions, but would wait on the Lord’s timing. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Most of all, we pray for her salvation. If she is to be restored, it must begin with repentance and faith in Christ. We declare over her life: "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the Lord’s glory has risen on you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you" (Isaiah 60:1-2). May the light of Christ penetrate her darkness, and may she be drawn to the Savior who alone can heal and redeem.

We pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the brokenness of this marriage and the hardness of heart that has taken root. We thank You for the example of Your Son, who forgave even as He was betrayed, and we ask that You would empower [submitter] to walk in that same forgiveness, not as a doormat, but as one who trusts You for justice and restoration.

Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over this situation. We ask that You would break the chains of deception and sin in [wife’s name]’s life. Remove the blinders from her eyes, that she may see the destruction of her choices and turn to You in true repentance. "Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her" (Psalm 51:10). If she has never truly known You, we pray for the miracle of the new birth, "that she would be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and remains forever" (1 Peter 1:23).

Father, we ask for wisdom for [submitter]. Give him discernment to know Your will, whether that is for restoration or for the painful but necessary step of divorce. If she remains unrepentant, we pray that You would release him from the bondage of false hope and grant him peace to move forward in a way that honors You. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

We rebuke the spirit of adultery and deception that has taken hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against [submitter]’s life shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would protect his heart from bitterness, his mind from confusion, and his spirit from despair. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

Lord, we pray for the other family members touched by this pain. Guard their hearts from hardness, and let this trial draw them closer to You. May they see the love of Christ in [submitter]’s life and be compelled to seek You for themselves.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. If [wife’s name] repents, let her testimony be a powerful witness to Your transforming grace. If she does not, let [submitter]’s life be a testament to Your faithfulness in the midst of suffering. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come to You, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His power that lives are transformed. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

It is clear from what you have shared that you are making a monumental decision here, choosing to forgive before there has been any change, any remorse, or any restoration. That kind of decisional forgiveness, where you release the pursuit of revenge and choose to treat this person as valuable, is a profound act of faith. We want to honor the weight of that step you are taking before God. It is not a small thing to extend a cancelled debt into an empty room.

As you walk this out, it may help to remember that making the decision to forgive and the ongoing process of working through the deep, raw emotions of the hurt are often two different things. The resentment, the grief over the broken covenant, and the ache for justice don’t just dissolve the moment we speak a verdict of mercy. That doesn't mean your decision isn’t real; it simply means the emotional healing often takes longer to actually settle, and that is a normal part of the human process. You are not being unfaithful in your forgiveness just because you still feel the sting.

For a concrete anchor, because you clearly treasure God’s Word and are fighting to stay grounded, you might consider taking the very words you have written here, your statement of forgiveness, and writing them out in a simple, personal letter to God. Not a prayer list of what you’re asking for, but a single, clear record of what you have chosen to release. In the days when the pain feels fresh or the enemy whispers that it’s hopeless, you can hold that paper in your hand as a settled fact: "I made this choice before God, and I am not taking it back."

To the request for wisdom regarding fasting, we simply note that any extended fast should be approached gently and with medical supervision, especially when life is already carrying this much stress. The body needs strength to sustain the soul’s long journey.

Here is our prayer with you:

Father, we come alongside this husband, grateful for the mark of Your mercy we see in his decision. For his wife, we ask that genuine light would break through, not a superficial religion, but a true, transforming knowledge of Jesus that leads to life. Guard her, and keep the youth from stumbling. For our friend here, steady his heart when the gap between his decision to forgive and his present emotions feels too wide. Help him to trust that You see his sacrifice, and that You are working even in the silence. Let his spirit be deeply sustained by Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

The cry of your heart is heard in the courts of the Most High. That you have forgiven her from the soul is a token that you yourself have been washed in the fountain filled with blood; for none can forgive great wrongs but those who have known the greatness of God’s forgiveness to themselves. “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake,” saith the Lord; and if you have tasted that mercy, you cannot but loose the debtor from your own heart. Yet remember, the forgiveness that saves is not the pronouncement of a man, however sincere; it is the act of God alone. With Him there is forgiveness, that He may be feared. Press on, then, in supplication, that she may know the pardon that cometh from the throne, bought with the precious blood of Christ.

Take heed: not every sorrow for sin is repentance unto life. The judgments of God may wring a carnal repentance from the unregenerate heart, a repentance that worketh death. True repentance, the gift of the Holy Ghost, is a turning from sin because sin is hateful; it is a loathing of self and a fleeing to Christ; it gives glory to the justice of God and the mercy of God together. It makes a rainbow of tears for past sin and glances of hope at the cross. Until you see the marks of such a work, a heart broken, not merely because sin brings pain, but because it offends a holy God, pray on, and do not faint. The Lord can take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh; He can write His law upon the inward parts, so that she will know Him, and be born again. That is the one thing needful: “Ye must be born again.”

You have done well to forgive her, and to reach out still. In this you have reflected the long-suffering of Christ, who loved the church and gave himself for it. But set your affection upon things above, not on this hope below, lest your heart be consumed. If she be an unbeliever, and has departed, the Scripture hath made a way, though it be a bitter one. Yet you are drawn to seek mercy, that she might be saved, and your union stand as a testimony to the world. If the Lord grant it, it will be to the praise of the glory of his grace. If not, the Lord will sustain you. Only see to it that your own soul dwells in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. The forgiveness you have received from God is eternal; it can never be reversed. Let that peace garrison your heart.

There is forgiveness. Let no bounds be set to the mercy of God. Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. The chief of sinners may become the chief trophy of grace. You have Scriptural ground to pray for her enlightenment: the God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness can shine into her heart, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. By the foolishness of preaching, by the rending of the Word, by your own life as an epistle of Christ, He can break in upon her blindness. Faint not. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth you; your prayer hath entered into the ear of the Lord of Sabaoth. Wait on him, with fasting, with tears, with a submitted will, “Nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.” So shall you walk through this vale of tears with the Son of God at your side, who ever liveth to make intercession for us.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire for her mercy and salvation is good, yet take care lest your much talking obscure the very truth you profess. To forgive as Christ forgives is to release your own soul from the poison of bitterness. You have done this. But your forgiveness, however genuine, cannot wash her clean. Only her own repentance can do that, and this is a work of God alone. You rightly recall the words of our Lord to the woman caught in adultery: "Go and sin no more." But observe closely. He did not say this before she stood before Him, exposed and silent under the weight of her transgression. Her forgiveness came not apart from that encounter. So too your wife must be brought to that place where she sees her sin as God sees it, an offense not merely against you but against the Holy One who made her. The adulterer, as Scripture says, lacks sense and destroys himself. The wound she has dealt is first to her own soul.

You heap up verses about light and new birth, and these are precious promises indeed. But light hurts the diseased eye before it heals it. A new heart is given when the old one is rent in contrition. We cannot speak peace where God has not spoken peace, nor pronounce remission where the soul clings to its rebellion. The laver of regeneration is one; there is no second cross, no renewing of that first washing by another. But repentance is not the laver. Repentance is the bitter medicine for those who have defiled their baptismal purity. It is a long martyrdom of the conscience. For her, this path lies open, but only if she will walk it. Let no one deceive her, not you, not family, not her own heart, into thinking that a mere acknowledgment is enough. The sorrow of the world works death; godly sorrow produces repentance that leaves no regret.

Your own life must speak louder than your words. If you would have her turn, then let her see in you a living epistle of the fear of God, not a husband grasping at legal clauses. You know the adultery exception. You know the desertion clause. Yet here you stand, not reaching for the certificate of divorce, but hoping for a resurrection. That is a high and holy ambition, provided you count the cost. To stand in the gap means you must be blameless yourself. Examine whether any root of bitterness, pride, or self-righteousness has sprung up in you through this trial. Fasting and prayer are the weapons of the desperate. Do not think that a few skipped meals will automatically give wings to your petitions. True fasting unties the cords of wickedness and breaks every yoke, beginning with the yokes we have fitted to our own necks. Let your fasting be wedded to almsgiving and mercy, and perhaps the Lord will hear your cry on her behalf.

Persist in prayer, yes, but pray with fear. Ask, as our Lord did, for the cup to pass if it be the Father's will, yet quickly add, "Nevertheless, not my will but Thine be done." You seek her salvation, and that is a noble request. Yet God may be more glorified in the long-suffering you must endure than in a swift restoration. His patience is meant to lead to repentance. Perhaps your own endurance is the very sermon He intends for her hardened heart. Do not seek to engineer the outcome through the pressure of your own will, but trust the wisdom of the Divine Physician. The soul which has tasted the heavenly gift and then trampled it underfoot is not easily recovered, not because its sin is greater than grace, but because its hardness has become so dreadfully fixed. Only the piercing ray of God's own light can cleave such darkness.

Therefore, commit her to that light. Your reaching out, your prayers, your willingness to forgive, these are all good. But now there must be a holy quietness in your soul. Stop your multiplied words before God and let the reality of the situation silence you. Mourn for her as one mourns for the dead, not with the hopeless grief of the world, but with the severe hope that God can breathe life into dry bones. Yet if that breath does not come, you must love God more than you love the restoration of your marriage. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom for you as much as for her. Watch your own steps. Guard your own eyes and your own bed, keeping yourself pure by the grace you have received, lest you, in ministering to another, find yourself casting your own soul away. The way is narrow, and many have fallen while looking too long at the stumbling of others.

Your prayer reveals a heart that has been deeply wounded but is reaching toward the mercy you have received from God. To forgive as you have described, not counting her sins against her, is a powerful reflection of what Christ did for you. And yet, you already sense that her need is far greater than your forgiveness alone can meet. Her sin, like all sin, is ultimately against the God who said, “You shall not commit adultery.” Only He can grant the forgiveness that brings cleansing and a new heart.

Real repentance is more than feeling sorry. It is a change of heart so profound that it produces a change of life. You can’t manufacture that for her, and she can’t manufacture it for herself. It takes a work of the Spirit to turn a heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Many people postpone the problem by trying to alter their actions without a transformed heart, but it never lasts. That’s why you are right to plead for her salvation, for her to be born again, for the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ to shine into her darkness.

As you continue to pray and fast, guard your own heart. It’s easy, when we have been sinned against so grievously, to begin to judge in ways we would not want to be judged. Remember that the heart is the true battleground. A person can avoid physical adultery yet commit it in the heart, just as a person can have idols in the heart that displace a true love for God. Examine yourself, not to make light of her sin, but to remain in the posture of one who has received mercy. You cannot bring her forgiveness from God; she must turn to Him herself. But your forgiveness of her clears your own heart and demonstrates that you understand how much you yourself have been forgiven.

Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. He interceded for those who were crucifying Him, saying, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” That same heart lives in you as you pray for her. Yet remember that salvation is found only in a vital, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not enough to believe in God in some general way; even the demons do that. Salvation comes when a person believes into Christ, turning from sin and trusting fully in His work on the cross. That is the only provision God has made for sin. There is no other way.

So keep asking for wisdom. Keep loving her enough to desire her eternal good. But hold your requests loosely, as Jesus did in the garden. Your will may be for restoration of the marriage, and that is a noble desire, but let God’s will be done. His purposes are higher, and His love for her is greater than yours. Continue to be a living epistle, known and read by all who see your life. Let your actions, bathed in prayer, point her toward the One who can truly say to her, “Go and sin no more.”

We have been deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request, lifting up your wife before the Lord with such humility, forgiveness, and earnest desire for her repentance and salvation. Thank you for trusting us to stand in agreement with you in this sacred intercession. Your reliance on Scripture and your willingness to forgive as Christ forgave—even in the midst of profound pain—has been a powerful testimony to the transforming love of God.

We continue to pray that the Lord would soften her heart, just as He promised in Ezekiel 36:26, replacing any hardness with a tender spirit that responds to His call. May the light of Christ penetrate the darkness in her life, turning her from the power of Satan to God, so that she may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18). We ask the Holy Spirit to convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading her to genuine repentance and the refreshing that comes from the Lord (Acts 3:19).

We also pray for you, dear brother, that the Lord would grant you wisdom, discernment, and an abundance of love as you navigate this trial. May you continue to walk in the grace that Christ demonstrated in Gethsemane—submitting to the Father’s will while holding fast to hope. We ask that the Lord protect your heart from bitterness, strengthen your faith, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

If the Lord has already moved in this situation, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. If not, we stand ready to continue interceding with you, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. May He bless you with His presence, guide your steps, and bring about His perfect will in this matter, all for His glory.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
