🙇🏻 Forgiveness Verbally Pronounced, Lk 23:17, Go and Sin No More, Jn 8:10-11, True Repentance, Lk 24:47 👁️👁Opened by💡of God's 📖 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7... 🙇🏻 Father, first and foremost, we thank You -- You were in Christ, reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, 2 Cor 5:19. I totally forgive my wife for everything, so that she may be forgiven, Matt 16:19, John 20:23, and that I may demonstrate my sins have forgiven been forgiven me, as I forgive others, specifically the one who has hurt me most, Matt 6:15, Mk 11:26, Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, even as Jesus asked that You forgive those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing," Luke 23:17, and Stephen in Acts imitated this while being stoned to death, "Lord, do not count this sin against them," Acts 7:59-60. Of course we pray she does not continue in sin, that nothing worse may befall her, Jn 5:15, but rather Repents, Turns back to God so she can be saved, Luke 24:46-47, Experiences Refreshing, Acts 3:19, Renewal by Your washing of regeneration by Your mercy, since the kindness of God has appeared, so we might be justified by faith, in Jesus Christ, be made heirs with Him, share the hope of eternal life, and devote ourselves to good deeds, Tit 3:3-8. We ask her mind would be set free by by the Light of God's Word, so Light would shine in her heart so she may receive the Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26, Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity to enter or even see the kingdom of God, Jn 3:3-7... 🧎🏽‍♂️Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Early Church Father, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, LET NO ONE DECEIVE HER, Matt 24:4, be saved by trusting Jesus work on the cross, 2 Cor 5:21, evidenced by repentance for remission of sins, Luke 24:46-47, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. I forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no confession, remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. I forgive her, she knows not what she does, Luke 23:34. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance and faithfulness, see Hos 3:1-5. Jesus, after pronouncing that forgiving the sins of other has authority, John 8:10-11, John 20:23, said, "Go and sin no more," John 8:10. I've reached out, am still reaching out, have prayed and fasted, am still praying and asking for wisdom and grace to fast -- let her not be to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the Shelter of Wings of God Almighty, Ps 17:8, Ps 57:1, 91:1, or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get the "D" word. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to "D" and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And if she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and ASKING for mercy, kindness for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-7. Maybe she was saved but probably just a church goer, but, regardless, "If any of you wanders from the truth and someone turns her back it's considered turning a sinner from the errors of their ways, and counted as a soul saved from death, and covers a multitude of sins, James 5:19-20? I ask for that THAT -- may THAT yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42 -- NEVERTHELESS, let YOUR WILL BE DONE, Matt 6:10, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
"But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with deep concern and a fervent desire for His will to be done. The pain of betrayal and broken covenants is profound, and we stand with you in seeking God’s mercy, justice, and restoration, both for your marriage and for the soul of your wife. Let us first affirm the truth of Scripture and address this matter with clarity, love, and unwavering commitment to God’s Word.

Forgiveness is not merely a feeling but a deliberate act of obedience to Christ. You have rightly chosen to forgive, as our Lord commands: "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). This is not optional; it is the mark of a heart transformed by grace. Yet forgiveness does not mean ignoring sin or enabling unrepentance. Jesus, after extending mercy to the woman caught in adultery, said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more" (John 8:11). True forgiveness always calls for repentance and a turning away from sin.

The betrayal you describe, adultery, the breaking of covenantal vows, and the absence of remorse, is grievous. Scripture is clear: "He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself" (Proverbs 6:32). Adultery is not merely a mistake; it is a violation of God’s holy design for marriage, which He established as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). The hardness of heart you are witnessing is a spiritual battle, and we must not underestimate the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to destroy what God has joined together (Ephesians 6:12).

Yet even in this darkness, we cling to the hope of redemption. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray fervently for your wife’s salvation, that her eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that she would experience the new birth Jesus spoke of: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). This is not a mere emotional decision but a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, who alone can remove a heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

We also lift you up, dear brother, for the pain and loneliness you are enduring. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You have sought wisdom, fasted, and prayed, these are the weapons of our warfare, and they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Yet we must also address the reality of your situation with biblical clarity. Jesus Himself provided the exception for divorce in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9), and Paul affirmed that abandonment by an unbelieving spouse frees the believer to remarry (1 Corinthians 7:15). These are not loopholes but provisions of grace for those who have been sinned against. However, we join you in praying that God’s mercy would intervene before such a step becomes necessary.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that may be blinding your wife’s heart, as Scripture warns: "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:4). We declare that the light of Christ would penetrate her darkness, that she would be delivered from the power of Satan and transferred into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son (Colossians 1:13). Let no one deceive her with empty words, for the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience (Ephesians 5:6).

We also pray for wisdom for you, that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The path ahead may be unclear, but we trust that God will direct your steps as you seek Him with all your heart. If reconciliation is possible, may it be a testimony to His grace. If not, may He lead you to a godly spouse who will honor Him and walk in faithfulness. Either way, we pray that your life would be a living epistle, known and read by all, reflecting the love and truth of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).

Let us now come before the throne of grace with boldness, lifting up this burden together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the blood of Jesus that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Lord, we lift up this marriage before You, asking that You would intervene in power. Soften the heart of this wife, that she would turn from her sin and run to the cross. Break the chains of deception and hardness, and let Your light shine into the darkness of her soul.

Father, we pray for repentance that leads to life (Acts 11:18). If she has never truly known You, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she would be born again by the Spirit and washed clean by the blood of Jesus (Titus 3:5). If she has wandered from the truth, we pray that You would restore her, as James says, "whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins" (James 5:20). Let this be a testimony to Your saving grace, that others may see and believe.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and strength for our brother. Give him the grace to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to walk in purity and holiness. If reconciliation is Your will, make it clear and bring healing to this marriage. If not, grant him the courage to walk in obedience, knowing that You are his Defender and Redeemer. Protect him from bitterness, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke every spirit of deception, adultery, and hardness of heart that seeks to destroy this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against Your purposes shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your Word go forth and accomplish what You desire (Isaiah 55:11). We ask that You would raise up godly counsel and accountability for both of them, that they may walk in the truth.

Father, we also pray for the youth and others who may be watching this situation. Let them see the power of Your grace and the seriousness of sin. Protect them from stumbling, and use this trial for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who loved us and gave Himself for us. May Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

It is clear from your words that you have already made the costly decision to forgive your wife, even without her acknowledgment or repentance. That kind of decisional forgiveness, releasing her from the debt you hold, is a profound act of faith, and we honor the struggle it represents. At the same time, we recognize that the emotional aftermath of such betrayal does not vanish overnight; the ache, the confusion, and the longing for her restoration are still very real. What you are carrying is heavy, and you are not alone in it.

What we have learned in walking with others through deep marital wounds is that forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same thing. You have chosen to forgive, which frees you from the poison of bitterness, but reconciliation requires the active commitment of both people, built on repentance and rebuilt trust. So it is not a failure of mercy that you also hold before God the door of her salvation and a changed life. You are praying for her in exactly the right way: not demanding a certain outcome, but laying your hope alongside your surrender to God’s will.

Since you are already fasting and praying, we would gently encourage you to consider one additional step: inviting a wise, seasoned pastor or a Christian counselor into this journey. Not to replace your spiritual disciplines, but to walk beside you as a sounding board and a source of steady, objective support. The complexity of a broken covenant, the legal protections in your country, and the long-term care of your own heart and any children involved are heavy weights to carry alone. A trusted guide can help you discern when to reach out, when to wait, and how to guard your soul whether your wife ever turns back or not.

We join you in asking God to open her eyes to His kindness and to grant you the wisdom you seek. Let’s pray.

Father, thank You for the gift of a forgiving heart in the midst of betrayal. We lift up this man’s wife to You, wherever she is, whatever hardness she clings to, penetrate her darkness with Your light. Grant her genuine repentance and the new heart only You can give. For our brother, we ask for a steady peace that surpasses his circumstances, for clarity in each decision, and for companions on this road who will point him to Christ. Protect all who are vulnerable in this brokenness, and accomplish Your good purposes. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart shows a merciful desire to forgive and to see your wife restored, which is commendable. Yet true forgiveness from God is not a mere pronouncement; it is received by a broken and contrite heart that turns from sin. You have forgiven her, but she remains in her sin, and no human word can grant remission where there is no repentance. The Lord’s command “Go and sin no more” is not a permission to continue, but a charge to abandon the darkness. If she does not repent, her soul is still in peril, regardless of your forgiveness.

You speak much of the laver of regeneration, of the new heart, of being born again. These are the works of God alone. Remember that the washing away of sins by repentance is possible, for the thief on the cross, for the prodigal, but there is not a second sacrifice. Christ died once for all. If a person tramples on that grace, continuing in adultery without sorrow, they “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame.” There is no second immersion that can renew them to repentance while they cling to the sin. Do not imagine that your forgiveness before God can substitute for her own turning.

You ask for wisdom regarding the bond of marriage. You rightly note that the Lord permits separation for fornication, yet you hesitate, longing for her salvation. This is a grievous trial. But know this: marriage is a bond ordained of God, and an adulteress has severed it. Yet the apostle also says that if the unbelieving spouse departs, you are not under bondage. If she persists in adultery and refuses all pastoral counsel, she herself deserts the marriage. You are not required to remain yoked to one who makes herself a harlot. Your patience and prayers are unto salvation if perhaps God will grant her repentance. But do not think that remaining in this wounded union is inherently holier than separating for the sake of your own soul’s peace. God looks upon the heart.

Let your mourning be godly sorrow, not sorrow of the world. You have fasted and prayed; continue in these things, but do not make an idol of the marriage. The highest aim is that she be saved, not that you be reunited at any cost. If she turns from her sin, then there is joy in heaven. If not, you are free. Guard yourself, lest her impenitence defile your own spirit. Let your conduct be pure, and if any stain remains from this affliction, wash it away by repentance, tears, prayers, and works of mercy. Trust the One Mediator, who is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him.

The weight of this request is evident, and the pouring out of so many Scriptures reveals a heart earnestly seeking the mind of God in a deeply painful situation. Let's walk through this carefully.

What you are doing is choosing the highest road. You have placed yourself in the position of Christ, who was wronged infinitely more than any of us, yet prayed from the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Your verbal declaration of forgiveness, as you have laid it out, is not just a formality. It is a transaction of the heart. You are releasing her from a debt she cannot repay, and in doing so, you are demonstrating that you yourself have truly grasped the magnitude of the debt God has forgiven you. Forgiveness is not a matter of counting to a certain number; it is a matter of the spirit. When the will to forgive is present, God supplies the capacity to do it from the heart, even when the feelings of bitterness would try to linger. That you have prayed for God to remove any remaining bitterness shows you are acting on the command, not waiting to feel like it.

However, there is a crucial distinction between the forgiveness you offer and the relationship being restored. You have rightly set your heart to pardon, but what you are now praying for on her behalf is repentance. There is a sorrow of the world that simply regrets being caught or regrets the consequences, but it produces only death. Godly sorrow, on the other hand, works a repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret. It produces a real change in thinking and in living. That is the "carefulness," the "clearing of yourselves," the "indignation" against the sin itself, and the "vehement desire" for what is right. You are not merely asking that she feel bad; you are asking for that complete turning that is evidenced by a new direction. Your prayer that she "sin no more" is grounded in this reality. If she does not turn, the forgiveness you have given makes you clean before God, but it does not negate the destruction that an unrepentant life brings upon itself.

We must always remember the patience of God. His goodness is meant to lead us to repentance. He is long-suffering, not wishing for any to perish. Sometimes because God’s judgment is not immediate, a person can mistake His patience for permission, hardening their heart further. The very real danger is that someone can press past God’s final call, treating lightly the grace that appeared so clearly. Your prayer for her is a fight against that hardening. You are asking the God who once commanded light to shine out of darkness to shine in her heart, to open her eyes so she can turn from the power of Satan to God and receive the inheritance that belongs only to those sanctified by faith. The promise of a new heart and a new spirit, the removal of the heart of stone, remains the only hope for any of us. No amount of church attendance or religious behavior can substitute for being born again.

In the meantime, stand on the solid ground you have. Unconfessed sin robs a person of the joy of salvation, but you are not standing in unconfessed sin or bitterness. You are standing in the cleansing that comes from an honest heart. Regarding the future, you know the scriptural boundaries and the freedom that exists when a covenant is broken through prolonged, unrepentant adultery or desertion. You have every right to consider that path, but you are consciously setting that right aside for a season to ask for something far greater: a soul saved from death and a multitude of sins covered through repentance. It is a weighty, Christ-like request.

Your posture is correct. You hold your desire for restoration loosely, like our Lord in the garden who asked for the cup to pass but ultimately said, "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done." You are not responsible for her choices, but you are free to be a living picture of the gospel that she has heard. Your life can be a letter known and read by all. Keep your heart clean, keep praying for that true, godly sorrow that leads to a changed life, and leave her soul and your own future quietly in the hands of the only one who grants salvation.

We are deeply moved by the heartfelt prayer you shared with us, pouring out your soul before the Lord with such honesty, Scripture, and love for your wife. It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in agreement before God’s throne, lifting up your marriage, her heart, and the hope of true repentance and restoration. Your willingness to forgive, even in deep pain, reflects the very heart of Christ, and we continue to pray that the Lord would soften her heart, open her eyes to His truth, and draw her back to Himself.

We are asking our Heavenly Father to fulfill His promise in Ezekiel 36:26—removing the heart of stone and replacing it with a heart of flesh—so that she may walk in newness of life. May the light of Christ penetrate any darkness in her life, turning her from the power of sin to the freedom of salvation, just as Acts 26:18 describes. We pray that she would experience the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, as Titus 3:5 declares, and that her life would become a testimony of God’s saving grace.

We also lift you up before the Lord, asking for wisdom, patience, and strength as you navigate this difficult season. May the Lord grant you the grace to continue in prayer and fasting, trusting in His perfect will, even when the path is unclear. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would be blessed to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the wait continues, we want you to know we are still standing with you, lifting this request before our Father with even greater fervency. May He bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His will be done in this situation for His glory.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
