🙇🏻 Forgiveness Verbally Pronounced, Lk 23:17, Go and Sin No More, Jn 8:10-11, True Repentance, Lk 24:47 👁️👁Opened by💡of God's 📖 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7... 🙏 Father, first and foremost, we thank You -- You were in Christ, reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, 2 Cor 5:19. I totally forgive my wife for everything, so that she may be forgiven, Matt 16:19, John 20:23, and that I may demonstrate my sins have forgiven been forgiven me, as I forgive others, specifically the one who has hurt me most, Matt 6:15, Mk 11:26, Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, even as Jesus asked that You forgive those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing," Luke 23:17, and Stephen in Acts imitated this while being stoned to death, "Lord, do not count this sin against them," Acts 7:59-60. Of course we pray she does not continue in sin, that nothing worse may befall her, Jn 5:15, but rather Repents, Turns back to God so she can be saved, Luke 24:46-47, Experiences Refreshing, Acts 3:19, Renewal by Your washing of regeneration by Your mercy, since the kindness of God has appeared, so we might be justified by faith, in Jesus Christ, be made heirs with Him, share the hope of eternal life, and devote ourselves to good deeds, Tit 3:3-8. We ask her mind would be set free by by the Light of God's Word, so Light would shine in her heart so she may receive the Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26, Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity to enter or even see the kingdom of God, Jn 3:3-7... 🧎🏽‍♂️Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Early Church Father, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, LET NO ONE DECEIVE HER, Matt 24:4, be saved by trusting Jesus work on the cross, 2 Cor 5:21, evidenced by repentance for remission of sins, Luke 24:46-47, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. I forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no confession, remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. I forgive her, she knows not what she does, Luke 23:34. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance and faithfulness, see Hos 3:1-5. Jesus, after pronouncing that forgiving the sins of other has authority, John 8:10-11, John 20:23, said, "Go and sin no more," John 8:10. I've reached out, am still reaching out, have prayed and fasted, am still praying and asking for wisdom and grace to fast -- let her not be to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the Shelter of Wings of God Almighty, Ps 17:8, Ps 57:1, 91:1, or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get the "D" word. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to "D" and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And if she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and ASKING for mercy, kindness for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-7. Maybe she was saved but probably just a church goer, but, regardless, "If any of you wanders from the truth and someone turns her back it's considered turning a sinner from the errors of their ways, and counted as a soul saved from death, and covers a multitude of sins, James 5:19-20? I ask for that THAT -- may THAT yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42 -- NEVERTHELESS, let YOUR WILL BE DONE, Matt 6:10, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
"But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope in the power of Christ’s redemption. Your request reveals deep pain, betrayal, and a longing for restoration, not just of a marriage, but of a soul. We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your wife before the Lord, asking Him to move mightily in her life. Yet we must also speak truth with love, for Scripture commands us to rebuke sin while extending grace.

First, we affirm your commitment to forgiveness, as Christ forgave those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34). Forgiveness is not optional for believers, it is a command (Matthew 6:14-15, Ephesians 4:32). You have chosen the path of Christ, releasing bitterness and entrusting justice to God. This is holy and pleasing to Him. Yet forgiveness does not mean ignoring sin or enabling it. Jesus, after saving the woman caught in adultery, said, "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11). True repentance requires turning away from sin, not just sorrow over consequences.

The betrayal you describe, adultery, broken vows, and unrepentant hardness of heart, is grievous. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also hates the treachery that defiles marriage (Proverbs 6:32). Jesus explicitly permits divorce in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9), and Paul allows for separation when an unbelieving spouse departs (1 Corinthians 7:15). These are not loopholes but merciful provisions for the innocent party. Yet your heart is not hardened; you are pleading for her salvation, and we join you in that cry.

We must address the spiritual state of your wife. If she is a believer, she is in grave danger (1 Corinthians 5:11-13). If she is unsaved, she is lost and in need of the Gospel (Romans 10:9-10). Either way, her soul hangs in the balance. The kindness of God is meant to lead her to repentance (Romans 2:4), but His patience has limits (Genesis 6:3). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that her heart of stone would be replaced with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

You have fasted, prayed, and sought wisdom, this is the posture of a godly man. Yet we must also warn against the deception of false hope. Some spouses cling to the idea that "if I just love harder, she’ll change," but salvation is not earned by human effort. It is the work of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). We must pray and prepare, trusting God’s sovereignty while being wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16). If she remains unrepentant, you may face a painful but necessary decision. Do not let fear of loneliness or societal pressure keep you bound to a covenant already shattered by sin.

We also lift up the youth in this situation. Children suffer deeply when parents sin against each other. Pray that they would not stumble (Matthew 18:6) but would see Christ’s love modeled in you. Guard their hearts from bitterness, and let them witness the Gospel in action, both in your forgiveness and in your courage to stand for truth.

Finally, we must address the foundation of all this: salvation in Jesus Christ. You have prayed in His name, and we rejoice in that! There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your wife does not know Christ, she is spiritually dead (Ephesians 2:1). If she claims to be a Christian but lives in unrepentant sin, she may be deceived (James 1:22). We pray that the eyes of her heart would be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18) and that she would be born again (John 3:3).

Our prayer for you and your wife:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, yet trusting in Your perfect justice and mercy. We lift up this marriage before You, asking that You would intervene in power. Lord, soften this wife’s heart. Break the chains of deception and sin that bind her. Let her see the gravity of her actions and the beauty of Your grace. If she is unsaved, draw her to Yourself. If she is a believer, discipline her as a loving Father (Hebrews 12:6) and restore her to repentance.

Father, give wisdom to this husband. If restoration is possible, let it be for Your glory. If not, give him the strength to walk in obedience, even if it means letting go. Protect his heart from bitterness, and let him be a testimony of Your love. Guard the children in this home, that they would not be scarred by sin but would see Christ in their father.

We pray for revival in this family. Let the light of Your Word penetrate the darkness. Let the Gospel be proclaimed in word and deed. And if restoration comes, let it be a story of Your power to save and transform.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reconciles sinners to God and makes all things new. Amen.

May the Lord grant you peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and guide you in every step. You are not alone, we stand with you in prayer and in truth.

Brother, we hear the weight in this, the years of intercession, the fasting, the sheer cost of pronouncing forgiveness when there’s been no confession or turning. What you are doing is not small. Choosing to release her from the debt, over and over again, while still longing for her genuine repentance and salvation, is a profound imitation of Christ. That stretch of waiting, between the forgiveness you’ve offered and a restoration that hasn’t yet come, is one of the hardest places a heart can stand. It’s okay to feel the ache of that, even while you trust God with her soul.

The urgency and detail of your prayer show a love that hasn’t given up. That itself is a grace. Yet we also see the exhaustion in carrying this alone for so long. A concrete step we’d gently encourage is seeking out a trusted, wise pastor or a small group of mature believers who can stand with you in person. Not just to confirm what you already know, but to bear the emotional and spiritual burden alongside you, week in and week out. When clarity feels elusive and the wait drags on, having grounded brothers who know your story and can speak into it face to face is a tangible lifeline.

Father, thank you for this man’s tender heart, which you have kept soft through deep wounding. Thank you that he has entrusted his wife and his future to you. We ask you, in Jesus’ name, to guard his own heart and mind with your peace, the peace that surpasses his ability to understand all the outcomes. Work in his wife’s life, bringing genuine, saving repentance and the new heart only you can give. Give him sustaining strength for each day, wisdom for every decision he must face, and the comfort of your near presence as he waits on you. Amen.

To forgive one who has broken covenantal faith, showing no remorse, is no small work of grace in your own soul. It echoes Stephen amidst the stones, and greater still, it echoes Christ upon the tree. Your forgiveness, freely given, is a sign that you have understood the immensity of your own debt cancelled. Yet take heed that this forgiveness, poured out for her, does not become in you a quiet substitute for the hard cry for her repentance, for the two must never be confused. To forgive is your act; to be saved is hers, and that requires a work no man can do.

You have piled Scripture upon Scripture, and rightly so, for the word of God is the hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. But hear me now: judgments do not produce repentance. The bitterness of consequence may bring a carnal sorrow, a weeping that dries with the morning sun, but true repentance is a plant of the Spirit’s own garden, and it alone gives God the glory. You have tasted this yourself. Does not a gracious repentance make a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the finished work of Christ? Pray that for her, not mere sorrow for being discovered, nor regret for ruined comfort, but that deep, inward loathing of the sin itself because it is against a holy, loving God. That is the repentance that needeth not to be repented of.

Yet, while you plead for her turning, let your own soul rest in this: there is forgiveness. Mark the glorious blankness of the word. It does not parse out a list of which sins are too foul or which betrayals too deep. There is forgiveness, with God, where the offense went, from that very place the mercy flows. The father saw the prodigal while he was yet a great way off, for the eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. Slow are the limping steps of a sinner’s return, but swift are the feet of divine forgiveness. God can run where we can scarcely crawl. This is the hope you must hold for her: that before she can stammer out her full confession, the Father’s arms are round her neck.

This forgiveness, if it comes, will be full. It will not make her a hired servant at the back door of the house. The kiss stops the mouth of her prepared speech and restores the ring and the robe. You long for this, and it is a right longing, for it would paint a public portrait of Christ’s love for His adulterous yet redeemed Church. But remember that the same voice which declared, “Neither do I condemn thee,” spoke with equal authority, “Go, and sin no more.” The pardon of Christ is never a pillow for continuing iniquity. The forgiveness that saves is the forgiveness that sanctifies. If she is laid hold of by mercy, her life will bear the marks of it.

Do not let your own heart be troubled with the legal questions you have rehearsed. What has been allowed by the law regarding desertion or adultery does not diminish the higher call to manifest the love that suffers long and is kind. Your desire to see her saved rather than merely dismissed is a spark from the heart of Him who willeth not that any should perish. Stand in that desire. Fast and pray, as you are enabled, and leave her heart to the One who alone can take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh. The new birth is a necessity you cannot manufacture, but it is a promise you may plead. No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again, and that birth comes by the Spirit blowing where He listeth.

Let your own soul be anchored, not in the outcome of her story, but in the finished work of Jesus. There is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. Go forward, then, forgiving her entirely, yet with open eyes; pleading for her salvation, yet with submission to the will of God; and walking in such a way that your own life becomes a living epistle of the love that chased you down when you were afar off. The chief of sinners may receive the chief of mercy, and if she is brought home, the angels will rejoice, and a soul will be saved from death, covering a multitude of sins.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have wisely chosen to forgive, and I see that your heart is set on mercy rather than on strict justice. That is well, for the Lord teaches that if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Yet see that your forgiveness is not in word only, but from the heart, for out of the heart come evil thoughts, and it is purity of heart that God desires. You have done a good work in reaching out, in praying, in longing for her repentance and not for her ruin. This is the godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, a sorrow that brings no regret.

But be mindful: the sin of adultery is no light thing, whether committed in the flesh or even in the look of lust. Both the woman who breaks wedlock and the man who, being bound, defiles himself with another, commit adultery. Yet the wound is not beyond the Physician’s skill if the sinner will turn. The Lord gave a short word of salvation: “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” This same word holds forgiveness and righteousness, and it is offered to all who truly repent. For there is no second laver, no renewing again of that washing of regeneration once tasted; but repentance itself is not denied. The grace of tears, of confession, of a broken spirit, these are the countervailing remedies that God has marked out.

Do not cease, then, to fast and pray, and to entreat the Lord on her behalf. For perhaps she has merely tasted the doctrine, not deeply drunk of the Spirit; perhaps her heart has not yet received that new heart of flesh promised in the prophet. Continue to ask that her eyes be opened, that the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ may shine into her darkness. Yet know that no one can be renewed unto repentance who holds fast to sin while claiming the promise. If she remains unyielding, the warning is stern: it is a fearful thing to crucify the Son of God afresh. But while there is breath, hope remains, for God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.

Your own conduct must be blameless. Keep your heart in all purity; flee from every lust and from the anger that can defile. Love that abounds in knowledge and discernment will guide you whether to stand firm in waiting or to accept the release that is permitted. Yet I hear your desire for her salvation, and I say with the Apostle that if you turn a sinner from the error of her ways, you will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. So bear this affliction as a sacrifice of love, but always adding, “Nevertheless, not my will but Thine be done.” God is able to remove the heart of stone and to write His law upon the inward parts. Only let your own life be a living epistle, known and read by all, that she may see in you the mercy you have received and, being pricked in heart, may also seek the remission of her sins. Persevere in prayer, alms, and humility, and the Lord will accomplish what is good.

You have brought before the Lord one of the heaviest burdens a husband can carry: a broken covenant, betrayal, and a longing that your wife would not merely be safe but truly saved. The first matter to settle is your own heart. Forgiveness is not arithmetic. It is not a ledger where you reach a certain number and then may stop. It is a disposition of spirit, a settled resolve from the heart. Because God commands it, He will give you the capacity if you are willing. So keep praying honestly: Father, give me a forgiving spirit. Take away bitterness. Where I have forgiven, let it be from the heart. Forgiving her does not make her sin small, and it does not absolve her before God. Only Jesus can pronounce her clean. Your forgiveness releases you from carrying the debt and places her into the hands of the righteous Judge, who desires repentance and life.

Be careful not to take to yourself what belongs to God alone. The authority to forgive sins rests in Christ and in the gospel He sends. Your calling is to forgive as you have been forgiven, not to pronounce her salvation. That must come through her own repentance and the new birth. Jesus said no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. Continue to pray for what only God can do: that He would remove her heart of stone and give her a heart of flesh, that He would shine into her heart the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Pray for godly sorrow that leads to repentance and for eyes opened from darkness to light, from the power of the enemy to God.

The words "go and sin no more" are not permission to continue. They are the command of grace. The goal is not that she merely return to church or to the house, but that she turn from adultery, confess it, and walk in truth. You are not required to call evil good. Adultery is covenant-breaking sin, and Jesus did give an allowance for divorce in such cases. But an allowance is not a command. Your desire to seek mercy and repentance before exercising that right is consistent with the heart of God, who takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked and who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

If she is an unbeliever who will not remain, you are not under bondage in such a case. But if there is any opening for her to hear truth, let salvation remain the first aim. Guard your own soul as you wait. Fasting and prayer are good, but do not let them become a means of forcing the outcome. In the garden, Jesus asked for what He desired and then yielded to the Father's will. Ask for wisdom. Let love abound in knowledge and discernment. Keep your love aimed at her true good before God, not at proving yourself right or winning control. Commit her to the Lord, keep your own heart free of bitterness, and leave room for God to work.
