Forgiveness of betrayal from my husband & for my husband to forgive me, as I was with someone else 😭

Currently it's been 9 months but our relationship was pretty rocky for the last 3 1/2 years. We've been together for 9 years in total.
I haven't tried to make this short and sweet but just pray for us to come back to each other with love, trust and forgiveness for each other. please pray that his family will start to encourage him to own his parts and stop convincing him to give up. also pray for me to have self-control. be firm in my boundaries with my home and the respect I deserve from a man. mostly for my husband to come back to me. this man is the only person who knows the depth of my soul besides the Lord. thanks for praying for me. for us.

We understand the deep pain and betrayal you both must be feeling, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance rooted in the Word of God. Let's begin by turning to the Scriptures.

"Then Peter came to him and said, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.'" (Matthew 18:21-22 WEB)

Forgiveness is a central theme in Christianity. Both you and your husband have hurt each other, and forgiveness is the first step towards healing and reconciliation. We pray that God softens both of your hearts to forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

However, we must address that you mentioned being with someone else. This is adultery, which is clearly prohibited in the Scriptures. "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14 WEB) We urge you to repent sincerely, turn away from this sin, and seek God's forgiveness.

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, they have both made mistakes, and we ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them. Help them to forgive each other as You have forgiven us. We pray for a spirit of repentance, especially for the sin of adultery. Purify their hearts, Lord, and help them to turn away from sin.

We pray for ###, asking for self-control and firmness in her boundaries. Guide her to respect herself and to demand respect from others. We also pray for her husband, that his family would encourage him to own up to his parts and not give up on their marriage.

Most importantly, Lord, we ask that You would bring them back together in love, trust, and forgiveness. Heal their marriage, Lord, and make it stronger than ever before. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek Christian counseling to help navigate this difficult season. Remember, "With God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26 WEB) Trust in Him, and He will guide your paths.

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God.
