Forgiveness can be found only in Jesus...

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray for the landlord/legal contact person in Jesus' name, so that they can recognise the gravity of their sins or the circumstances that led to electric shocks in these apartments. May they understand that they did not take responsibility for these events, nor did they take precautions to prevent them. May they recognise the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus in our decision not to report them to the police or sue them. Please pray that they will be thankful and realise how great God's love is, and that He forgives even the most serious of sins. May this situation inspire them to dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ and apologise to us.

Let us pray for the healing touch of the Holy Spirit in their lives, so that they may glorify the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness found only in Him.

We hear your heart in this matter, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up this landlord and legal contact person before the throne of grace. It is true that forgiveness is found only in Jesus Christ, and it is by His name alone that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through repentance and faith in Him that sinners can be reconciled to God.

We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict this individual of their neglect and failure to take responsibility for the safety of those in their care. The Bible warns, "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). Their inaction has led to harm, and we ask that God would open their eyes to the severity of their actions, or lack thereof. May they see that their disregard for human life and well-being is not only a legal matter but a spiritual one before a holy God.

Lord, we ask that You would soften their heart to receive Your mercy, which they do not deserve but which You freely offer through Jesus Christ. Your Word declares, "But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ" (Ephesians 2:4-5). May they recognize the depth of Your love in sparing them from the full consequences of their actions, and may this grace lead them to repentance (Romans 2:4).

We pray that they would be moved to sincere remorse, not just for the legal implications, but for the harm they have caused. May they humble themselves before You and before those they have wronged, seeking forgiveness and making restitution where possible. "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift" (Matthew 5:23-24).

Father, we ask that You would draw this person to Yourself, that they may experience the transforming power of the gospel. May they turn from their sins and dedicate their life to following Jesus Christ, walking in obedience to Your Word. Let this situation be a turning point, where they come to know You as Savior and Lord, and where they begin to live out the call to love their neighbor as themselves (Mark 12:31).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you and others affected by this situation. It is not easy to extend grace when harm has been done, but Your Word instructs us, "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:17-18). May you continue to walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding, trusting God to bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would heal any physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds caused by this negligence. May Your Holy Spirit bring comfort, strength, and hope to all who have been affected. Let this situation be a testimony to Your grace, mercy, and power to redeem even the most broken circumstances.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We are moved by your request. The grace you have already shown, choosing not to report these dangerous oversights or sue, is a powerful, living picture of the same mercy you are praying the landlord would one day receive. You’ve set aside a very real claim to justice and are instead asking God to do something far greater: bring conviction, repentance, and true salvation. That kind of costly kindness often speaks louder than any legal threat could.

We join you in hoping the Holy Spirit stirs this person’s conscience. Our prayer is not only that they take ownership of what happened, but that they become genuinely thankful that they were met with restraint rather than retaliation, and through that, glimpse the deeper grace Jesus holds out to them. No sin is too serious for His forgiveness, and we pray your decision becomes a seed that leads to real change.

Lord, in Jesus’ name, we ask You to open this landlord’s eyes. Help them see clearly the gravity of the harm that was done and the mercy they were shown. Lead them to honest ownership, to genuine remorse, and to a willing apology. Most of all, draw them to Your Son, that they might discover the forgiveness and new life that only He can give. Keep this home safe from any further danger, and fill our friend’s heart with Your peace as they trust the outcome to You. Amen.

It is no small thing you have done, this choosing to hold back when the law gave you a full hand. To forgo the police, to lay down the right to sue, this is a rare mercy in a world that reaches so quickly for the sword. And you have done it with a hope in your heart: that the one who wronged you might see, might feel the weight of what was done, and might at last fall upon the grace of God. That is a burden few would carry, and I want you to know the Lord sees it.

You are praying for the landlord's eyes to be opened, and that is a prayer sprung from the soil of Christ's own Spirit. For only He can cause a man to look upon his carelessness and call it sin. Do not be surprised if the awakening comes slowly. A conscience long neglected is like a rusted lock; the key of grace may turn, but it often turns with difficulty and with groaning. Yet the Lord knows the combination. He who made the heart knows every ward and tumbler within that secret place, and He can make a man see what he has been so careful to hide from himself.

Consider this: the very mercy you have shown, this decision not to demand justice, may become to him a black-edged envelope with a love letter inside. At first it looks severe, terrible. To be confronted with one's own sin, to face the harm one has caused another, that is a scorching thing. But folded within that hard discovery is the tenderest news a soul can hear: that forgiveness is found in Jesus Christ. You have, perhaps without knowing it, set a table before him in the presence of his own guilt. You have made it possible for him to hear, not the roar of the courtroom, but the still small voice that whispers, "I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions."

I would have you remember this for your own comfort: the Lord does not ask you to carry the outcome. You have prayed. You have shown forbearance. You have planted the seed. Now the Lord of the harvest will see to its springing up, in His own wise time and in His own prevailing way. You are not responsible for the softening of that hard heart; you are only called to keep your own heart tender before God. And in that, by His grace, you have already walked well.

Think of it this way. Here is a person who, by all appearances, sits aloft beyond the reach of consequence, so the proud always fancy. They think their careful management, their legal position, their station in life will keep them from ever having to stoop and say, "I was wrong." But God's right hand can find out His adversaries in the most unexpected ways. He can send a heat upon the sun of a man's prosperity until the day burns as an oven. And yet, here is the wonder, that very heat may drive him to the shadow of the cross. The Lord knows how to make a man miserable until he finds his rest in Jesus. Your prayer is part of that strange, severe, and altogether gracious work.

And what of you, as you wait and pray? You have known a captivity of affliction. The shock of what happened in those apartments, the violation of a place meant to be safe, the burden of dealing with one who did not take responsibility, this has been a long season in a dry land. But I would have you lift your head. Do you see what the Lord has already done in your own soul? He has made you an intercessor. You are praying for the one who caused your trouble. That is no small evidence of the Spirit's work. It was when Job prayed for his erring friends that the Lord turned again his captivity. Your prayer for this landlord is the dove returning with the olive branch; it is the voice of the turtle announcing that your own summer is on the way.

Let this sink into the quiet places of your heart: the forgiveness you long for him to taste is the very forgiveness that upholds you this moment. The sins that trouble your memory, the failures that haunt the edges of your peace, these are laid on Jesus. God has made them all to meet on Him, concentrated there as a burning glass draws scattered rays into one fierce point. The substitution is complete. The Savior bruised is the healing of your bruised heart. And if this is true for you, it can be true for the most careless soul. None have wandered so far that the Shepherd cannot track their steps and bring them home. The sheep is the most foolish of creatures for finding its way back, but the Shepherd does not wait for it to be wise. He goes after it.

Keep praying then, and let your prayer be sweetened with this confidence: the Lord is able. He can write upon that man's conscience a word he cannot ignore. He can take the very mercy you have shown and make it a goad to drive him to Calvary. And one day, perhaps sooner than you think, you may sit at the same table of grace with one who will say, "It was your kindness, your restraint, that first made me think God might yet have mercy on me."

Now let us go together to the throne.

Lord Jesus, we bring before You this soul who has wronged another and yet walks in darkness, unaware of the danger or the Deliverer. Break through, we pray. Let the weight of what was done be felt, not to crush but to drive him to the only shelter for the guilty, Your own wounded side. And for this dear one who prays, steady the heart. Let hope keep its seat. Turn what has been captivity into the broad place of liberty and singing, for Your name's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with this heavy burden, allowing us to stand with you in prayer for your landlord and the legal contact person. It is a sacred privilege to intercede on your behalf, asking our Heavenly Father to soften their hearts and open their eyes to the weight of their actions—or lack thereof—that led to such dangerous circumstances.

We have continued to lift up this situation before the Lord, asking Him to move in power so that these individuals would recognize their need for responsibility, mercy, and ultimately, the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of the truth, that they would see the magnitude of God’s love in choosing not to bring legal consequences upon them, and that this revelation would lead them to repentance and a transformed life. May they come to understand that forgiveness is found only in Jesus, and may their hearts be drawn to Him in gratitude and surrender.

If the Lord has already begun to work in this situation—if their hearts have been softened or if steps toward reconciliation have been taken—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness would encourage us all and bring glory to His name. If, however, it seems that your prayers have not yet been answered in the way you hoped, we invite you to share this request again. We will not grow weary in standing with you, continuing to pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration, both for them and for you.

Above all, we pray that this trial would deepen your trust in the Lord, who is just, merciful, and full of compassion. May you experience His peace as you wait on Him, and may His love surround you in this difficult season. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
