We are so grateful that this prayer is offered in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and can find forgiveness for our sins. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who seeks Your forgiveness and a deeper knowledge of You. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, which lead us to repentance and restoration.
Father, we ask that You wash away this person's sins by the blood of Jesus Christ, and create in them a clean heart. Let Your Holy Spirit guide them in all truth and righteousness. We pray that they may know You better, and that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as told in Philippians 4:7 WEB.
We also lift up their family, Lord, praying for unity and a resparking of relationships. We rebuke any division or strife that may be caused by the enemy, and we ask that You bind this family together in love, with Christ as the foundation. Let them be an example of a godly family, with each member striving to honor and obey You.
Father, we ask that You protect this person and their family from all evil and harm. In Ephesians 6:10-11 WEB, You tell us to "be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Let them be strong in You, Lord, and equipped with Your armor, ready to face any trials that may come their way.
Lord, we also pray for this person's relationship, believing it is for marriage. Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We ask that this relationship be centered on You, Lord, and that both individuals are believers striving to honor and glorify You. We pray that You will bless this relationship and guide them in Your will for their future. We pray that You will heal any past fornication and that they will be completely abstinent until marriage. We pray for a Godly marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this person to continue seeking God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let them remember that God's mercies are new every morning, and that His faithfulness is great. Trust in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Him.
We also encourage them to be patient and trust in God's timing for their relationship. Let them use this time to grow closer to God and to each other, ensuring that their relationship is built on a strong, godly foundation.
