We thank you for your honest and humble cry before the Lord and we stand with you in prayer for forgiveness, healing and restoration. Your desire to turn from pornography and be made whole is pleasing to God, for He desires truth in the inward parts and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise.

We want to lovingly and clearly address what you have confessed, because God calls us to walk in light and purity. Pornography is not a small struggle, it is sexual immorality and lust of the heart which God calls sin. Jesus said that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart in Matthew 5:28. We are also taught to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body in 1 Corinthians 6:18. Pornography distorts God's good and holy design for sexuality, which is reserved for the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and it defiles the mind, hardens the heart and brings shame and bondage. We rebuke this sin in love, not to condemn you, but to call you to fully repent and turn from it, to cut off every source and make no provision for the flesh.

The wonderful good news is that when we confess and forsake sin, God is faithful to forgive and to cleanse. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us in Psalm 103:12. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus in Romans 8:1. God not only forgives, He heals and restores. Create in me a clean heart, O God, renew a right spirit within me in Psalm 51:10. He promises I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten in Joel 2:25.

We noticed your prayer said Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection, that our sins are forgiven and we receive new life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if you have not already, and to come to God always in His name.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, we confess this sin of pornography and lust before You and we ask for Your full forgiveness through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Wash this heart clean, cleanse the mind and conscience, and remove all guilt and shame. Heal the wounds this sin has caused in the soul, in the body and in the relationship with You. Restore purity, restore joy, restore a right spirit and renew the mind. Help our brother or sister to flee from every temptation, to cut off every avenue that leads to lust, to walk by the Spirit and not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Let Your Holy Spirit give strength to say no, to set guards over eyes and heart, and to think on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure and lovely in Philippians 4:8. Transform by the renewing of the mind in Romans 12:2. Let this one know they are a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away and all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Give hope, accountability through godly believers, and daily victory. We thank You that You are the God who heals and restores, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to walk daily in repentance and in the Word, to bring this struggle into the light with a trusted mature Christian or pastor for accountability, to remove all access to pornography, to fast and pray when tempted, and to fill your mind with Scripture. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Keep seeking Him, for He who began a good work in you will perfect it.

We appreciate you bringing this so honestly before the Lord. It takes humility to name this struggle and to ask for forgiveness and healing, and we want you to know you are not alone in it. We are standing with you in prayer.

We know this kind of struggle can leave you feeling stuck between wanting to walk in purity and falling back into old patterns, and with a lot of shame afterward. Healing and restoration usually do not happen just by trying harder in private. God works through both His grace and through honest, ongoing support from others.

One step that helps many is not carrying this alone anymore. If you do not already have someone, prayerfully consider inviting one safe, mature believer to walk with you, whether a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a small confidential support group where you can be accountable week by week. Putting clear, practical boundaries around when and how you use your phone or computer can also support that accountability.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Thank You that Your mercy is real when we confess honestly. Please forgive, cleanse and restore, and give him strength and wisdom for each day ahead. Help him know he is loved and not abandoned, and guide him to the right support as he walks toward wholeness. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God, and there is healing in Christ, and your humble confession has been heard by Him who delights to pardon.

You have done well to come as that poor palsied man lay in the Presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. Before forgiveness there is the burden and the trembling, the honest sight of sin and the desire to be cleansed. Do not turn away from that sight, but bring it directly to the Lord Jesus.

Hear then of the forgiveness itself. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Were all men to hiss at you, you would not need their pardon to enter heaven if you have His. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free that God Himself speaks as one who glories in it, and it is a complete forgiveness. Suppose you call upon your creditor and say, I have nothing to pay with. Behold, the tally is destroyed, the record of your debt is nailed to the Cross. This sentence contains no conditions for the repenting and believing sinner who trusts in Christ alone. Do as Martin Luther did when a brother monk said to him, Do you not say, I believe in the forgiveness of sins? Now believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. There is forgiveness, whatever your sins may have been. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. It is not forgiveness up to a certain point or up to a certain date, but a full, absolute, irreversible and eternal forgiveness, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He never plays fast and loose with men. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is perfect and divine because it is for Christ's sake, through His blood who died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

With this forgiveness comes healing. The Scripture puts them in happy conjunction, the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity, and the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves, His gentlest touches, change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. All individuals in every nation need this healing, and it flows down from that great conduit Head to men below.

And after forgiveness there is perfect restoration. The Lord says, They shall be as though I had not cast them aside. That is the sweetness of His restoring grace. He does not merely patch the broken vessel, He restores as though the casting aside had never been.

So come now and take this forgiveness to yourself by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is forgiveness with Him, and there is no other name by which you may be saved. Turn from that sin which has entangled you, confess it plainly as you have done, and trust wholly in the atoning blood. Ask Him for healing, for clean hands and a pure heart, and for strength to walk in newness of life.

May the Lord grant it according to His promise. O Lord, forgive this repenting sinner for Christ's sake, blot out transgression, and remember it no more. Heal the wound of sin, cleanse the conscience, renew the heart, and restore to the joy of Thy salvation. Keep by Thy power and make to walk in holiness, that pardon and healing may be seen together to Thy praise. Amen.
