For two years I kept hoping and believing that things will happen, and everything will get resolved, and Everytime it didn't, I ended up feeling miserable. Now I am scared to hope even when I shpuld be hoping, and this lack of hope makes me wake up depressed and gloomy. It's just a few hours, and then I become better becaus I fight to get better, but father take away even these few hours.
I encourage you, when you go to bed at night, begin thanking the Lord for His love and goodness towards you. Thank Him for giving you life, for life comes from Him. Thank you Lord that you give me sweet sleep in peace and safety because that is your word and your word is true. Then when you wake up, the first thought (even if you have to move there) is thank you Lord for this new day. Your mercies are new every morning. You have chosen me, so I choose to declare your goodness to me, and I thank you. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will, I make a determined choice, that I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Then you tell that depression or whatever...NO MORE! GO! IN THE NAME OF JESUS! I choose to put on the garments of praise! Thank you Father, for I choose life and I walk in NOW FAITH. Thank you that you have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I have the mind of Christ, because you said I do, and I receive it , in Jesus name. Amen.
Then you get up, and as much as possible, simply begin to commune with the Lord, simply speaking, Thank you Father, I am so thankful for your presence in my life by Your Spirit. You have made me ONE with you, you live in me HUGE and I thank you that as I yield to your goodness and forgo the gloominess and depression, that my day will begin in joy and end in joy. In Jesus name. Amen.
When we give in the depression (which is not of God) or allow gloominess to come in, we are saying, come in, the door is open., but Jesus says, He has come to give you life, that is life of the spirit. Born again, a new creation, the old is gone, now all things have become new. Freshness, newness, joy, peace...because the blood of Jesus has made you righteous before the Father. There is joy in knowing truth, in walking and agreeing with the word of God. I encourage you to read the epistles, ask Holy Spirit to open your understanding of what you read. God is wanting to grow you up in Christ.
