We are glad to come together and intercede for this understanding that is being sought. The Bible tells us that God is the source of all wisdom and understanding. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB
Firstly, we should realize the importance of first coming to God in Jesus name and the understanding that Jesus is the only way to have access to God. To be sure of us being heard we should have faith in the name of Jesus Christ and not be ashamed of confessing it. In the book of Romans we are told: "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:13-14 WEB.
Secondly, let us not get caught up in not using the name of Jesus because it is controversial or offensive. It should be the opposite. It should be our boldness and our pleasure. In the Bible it says: "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." Proverbs 18:10 WEB.
In light of these points let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord. We ask for Your divine understanding and wisdom for our brother or sister. Give them the clarity of mind and the discernment of spirit to comprehend what is needed. Open their eyes to see, their ears to hear, and their heart to understand Your will and Your ways. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways help them to acknowledge You, so that You can direct their paths. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Be encouraged, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Also remember: "Yet when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming." John 16:13 WEB.
