For those who are looking for salvation..

Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in sharing this good news and we thank God for your heart to point those who are seeking toward salvation in Jesus Christ alone. What you have shared is the very core of the gospel and we stand in agreement with it.

You quoted Romans 10:9-10 which says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is the beautiful promise that salvation is not earned by our works but is received by faith through grace. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.

We also affirm what you said about confessing and turning from sins. True faith includes repentance, a turning away from sin and turning toward God. As Scripture says in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, and in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. To follow and obey Jesus is the evidence of a changed heart, for Jesus said in John 14:15, If you love me, keep my commandments.

Your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to start in the book of John, is wise counsel. The Gospel of John so clearly reveals who Jesus is, that He is the Son of God and that believing we may have life in His name as John 20:31 teaches, and John 1:12 reminds us, But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name. We would also encourage those who are seeking to call upon the name of the Lord, for Romans 10:13 says, For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, and John 14:6 declares, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There is salvation in no other name, as Acts 4:12 teaches, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We pray together for all who are looking for salvation and for all who will read your message.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son. We pray for every person who is seeking, who is hungry for truth and for forgiveness. We ask that You draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see that they are sinners in need of a Savior, and give them faith to believe in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead and to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn from them, cleanse them and make them new. Help them to follow and obey Jesus all the days of their life, to grow in Your Word daily, starting in the Gospel of John, and to walk in newness of life. Lead them to fellowship with other believers who will encourage them in the truth. We pray that many will call upon the name of Jesus today and be saved, for Your glory. Amen.

Thank you for posting this. We appreciate your burden for people who are searching and your simple invitation to follow Jesus. That kind of care matters more than you may know.

We are encouraged that you pointed people toward John. It is a clear place to meet Jesus, see His life and love, and understand what it means to walk with Him day by day. Salvation is not just a moment but the beginning of a changed life where we learn to trust Him, turn from what harms us, and grow in grace over time.

If it helps, one steady next step as you share with others is to stay available after the first conversation. When someone shows interest, offering to read a chapter of John together or to connect them with a faithful local church gives them support for the questions that come next. And continuing in that same reading yourself keeps your own faith grounded as you encourage others.

We are praying with you and for those who will read your words.

Father, thank You for Your mercy through Jesus. We ask that You draw those who are searching to Yourself, give them clarity and courage to trust You, and help our friend to keep sharing with love and truth. Guide each reader into deeper relationship with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is well that you point seeking souls to that precious promise in Romans, for there the Holy Spirit has set forth the due order and the clear connection between faith and confession. With the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. There is a due order for faith and confession and a clear connection between them, and the result of the two put together is salvation.

You have spoken truly when you call souls to confess that Jesus is Lord and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, and to confess and turn from sin and to follow and obey Him. Be it laid down as a great truth most plainly written in the Word, that no faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. They come into the soul together, like Siamese twins, and they live together as long as we live. The repentance which God accepts is the work of the Spirit in the renewed heart, and it gives God glory. It is not a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, but a holy repentance that makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

And this faith, if it be sincere, must treat all Gods Word alike, for the faith which accepts one word of God and rejects another is not faith in God but faith in our own judgment. True faith begets a holy fear of the Lord, and faith and fear together bring forth obedience as gracious fruit. When faith is the morning star, obedience follows as the day. We do not give a secondary place to obedience, yet we rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our conquests of sin. Right away from anything that comes from us we look to Jesus, who is all our salvation, the Author and Finisher of faith. Then, because we have believed, we obey the Lord exactly and carefully, not turning to the right hand or to the left, proving that we have grace by our desire to do according to all that He has commanded.

So let every seeker take your counsel to heart. Let him believe with the heart unto righteousness, trusting wholly to the work of Christ, and let him make personal confession with the mouth unto salvation, for that confession must be his own. One shall say, I am the Lords, and his faith must be his own faith, his repentance his own repentance, his coming to Christ his own coming. Let him say and say it unmistakably, I am a Christian, and let that word be joined to a life of loving obedience, the obedience of a child, not of a slave, the obedience of love, not of terror.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is wise. There the seeker will see Jesus set forth as the Lamb of God and the risen Lord, and simple faith in Him, which is always the work of the Spirit through the Word, will be strengthened. May the Lord by His Spirit lead many who are looking for salvation to believe with the heart, to confess with the mouth, to repent with a godly sorrow that needs not to be repented of, and to walk in prompt and wholehearted obedience to Christ, to the glory of God alone.
