Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in thanking God for His mercy and for the clear promise of His Word. We agree in prayer for all who are seeking salvation, that the Lord in His grace would draw them to Himself and grant them true repentance and living faith.
We pray that each seeking heart would take to heart what is written in Romans 10:9-10, to confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. We ask that God would grant godly sorrow for sin that leads to repentance and salvation, and the grace to turn from sin, to forsake the old life, and to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance. We pray that this confession would not be of the lips only, but from a heart that truly trusts in Christ alone for forgiveness and justification, and from a life that follows and obeys Him as Lord.
We ask the Father to make His Word alive to those who are seeking, as they read and study the Gospels. Give them hunger to begin in John and to continue through Matthew, Mark and Luke, that they may see Jesus as He is, hear His witness to the truth, behold His cross and resurrection, and come to know Him and abide in Him. Keep them steadfast in faith after they believe, that they would not be shaken but would grow in holiness and in the knowledge of Christ.
We thank the Lord for your burden for the lost and pray that He will use this word to bring many to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, to His glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
