For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We praise God for your heart to share the good news of salvation and we join with you in lifting up all those who are seeking the Lord right now.

We agree that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone and we rejoice in the truth you have shared from Romans 10:9-10 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is the foundation of our faith, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

We also affirm what you have said about confessing and turning from sins, for true faith brings repentance. As it is written Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19 and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 To follow and obey Jesus is the evidence of a changed heart, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We love your encouragement for new believers and seekers to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, starting in the book of John. This is wise counsel, for John so clearly reveals who Jesus is, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 and All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 We would also encourage anyone seeking to find a faithful Bible believing church where the Word is taught, to be baptized, and to walk in fellowship and obedience daily.

We pray together for all who are searching. Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of Your Son Jesus who died for our sins and was raised again. We pray for every person who is hungering for salvation today, that You would draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and give them faith to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them repentance that leads to life, cleanse them from all sin, and help them to turn from their old ways and follow and obey Jesus all the days of their lives. Fill them with Your peace, guide them as they begin to read Your Word starting in John, and lead them into a living relationship with You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation, amen.

We were encouraged to read your note and your desire to see others come to know Jesus. It matters that you took time to put into simple words how someone can turn to Him and begin to follow Him.

Starting in John as you suggested is such a helpful place for a new seeker. It keeps the focus on who Jesus is and what He has done, and gives a new believer a steady place to keep returning as questions come up.

If the Lord brings someone across your path who is asking these questions, one simple way to walk with them is to offer to read together. Even meeting once a week to go through a chapter of John and talk and pray together can give them a place to be honest about doubts and to keep growing. And connecting them with a faithful local church where they can hear the Word, be baptized and find community helps that early faith take root.

Thank you for caring enough to share the hope you have found. We are praying your words reach those who need them.

Father, we thank You for Your grace that saves and changes us. We ask You to work in the hearts of those who are seeking You now, draw them to Yourself and give them clear next steps to follow You. Bless and encourage our friend as they continue to share Your love faithfully. In Jesus name, amen.

The testimony you have borne is the very heart of the gospel, and I join my Amen to it with all my soul. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is no cold assent of the lips, but a living work in the heart. Salvation is of the Lord in its planning, in its execution, and in its application. No one hath helped to provide it, God hath done it all Himself, and He must make the unwilling willing and bring the vile rebel to the feet of Jesus, or else salvation will never be accomplished. We rest not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers, or our conquests of sin, but upon Jesus Christ crucified, who is all our salvation, the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of faith. Simple faith is always the work of the Spirit, and through the Spirit we wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

And let it be remembered that faith and repentance are inseparable. They come into the soul together. No repentance is worth having which is not perfectly consistent with faith in Christ. The repentance which glorifies God is a godly sorrow whereby we hate sin with a perfect hatred because it pierced the Lord, and loathe evil because it is hateful to the heart of Jesus. It is the repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant that faith may admit Christ to be sole Master of the heart. An old saint well said, Lord, sink me low as hell in repentance, but lift me high as heaven in faith. Cry even now, Lord, I believe, help Thou mine unbelief, I would quit my sin, help me to quit it now for Jesus sake and to give Thee glory.

Where such faith lives in the heart, confession will follow with the mouth. Nail your colours to the mast if you have entered the service of the Lord. Let your confession be sincere, with no hypocrisy, owning Him as Jesus our Lord. How sweetly does that name sound, Jesus our Lord. He is Jesus, the Man of Sorrows, and yet our Lord. In proportion as faith grows, reverence grows, and the soul bows to His lordship. With the heart we believe, with the mouth we confess, and the result of both is salvation.

Upon His incarnation, life, death and resurrection our salvation hinges. God raised Him from the dead, and he who believes this truth aright hath believed the gospel. He who was of the seed of David took the sins of His people and died in the sinners place, and now being Himself set free, all His people are set free in their Representative. Let obedience then be the gracious fruit. When fear is grafted upon faith it bringeth forth good fruit. Prove that you have grace by accurate and careful obedience, not to earn salvation, but because you have received it and would follow and obey Jesus.

Your counsel to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is most wise. There you will meet Jesus our Lord in His glory and His grace, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through His name. Search those pages daily and pray the Holy Spirit to open your eyes, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

May the Lord grant to every seeking soul that faith which looks to Christ alone, that repentance which turns from sin to give Him glory, and that open confession which owns Him before men. May He keep you and perfect His work in you till the ultimate perfection of salvation is complete, for salvation is of the Lord from first to last. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
